The worse part is after telling the server multiple times no greens or onions, we received our order full of greens and onions. We asked for a bowl to separate the toppings ourselves and asked for extra soup because we did not want anyone tampering the food. Our server did not bring out any extra soup until we asked again. We showed up after 2 pm when the restaurant was not busy.Broth is a touch sweet with a light layer of oil. Broth was flavourful. There was a decent amount of noodles. There was not much meat toppings. Most people will not find any issues with the food.Service is lacking. There was no apology. The food is authentic as I saw a few Vietnamese customers dining and chatting to the server in their language. Usually I would take this as a good sign for the food quality at any restaurant.
Drive by this place all the time and decided to finally try it.Service was very quick and the food was good.Had their #12 house special along with spring rolls and fried wontons. Bowl was good with a nice clear soup base. Could have done with a bit more beef flavor but, generally pretty good. Spring rolls and fried wontons were really crunchy and freshly made.Would like to try their rice plates in the future.
I needed someone who could prepare a very large order for a party on short (one days) notice and my friend recommended this restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions were very large. Everyone in our group was very happy with the meal. I didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't comment on that experience but if you need Vietnamese food for a large gathering, do not hesitate to order from here.
Very much an eh place. I got #13 pho with round steak and #30 rice with ribs as well as a “spring” roll. Portion sizes were eh as 15$ for a medium isn’t something you usually see at a pho place. Positive about the pho was the broth, was very warm and comforting in its spice level however the noodles were very much a paper texture and there were only like 3 pieces of meat lol. I also asked for a spring roll and they brought out a minced pork roll which was whatever I didn’t mind it too much so I didn’t contest it. However, it was very tasteless, definitely one of the worst I’ve ever had. All things considered, I have no idea these guys have a 4.5 rating on here as this was a 2.5/5 at best. Would not recommend this place, save your money and go down the road to 1 of the many other pho places around.
"Hủ Tiếu Mỹ Tho" One of the best in townWe drove from Vancouver to Surrey to try this as we heard recommendation from our friendWe are South Vietnamese born and raised in Saigon (Ho chi minh city), so we know exactly how a real "Hủ tiếu" taste like2 girls serving today was amazing customer serviceSorry we didn't get their name but if this restaurant is located in metro vancouver. Ton of people will come to your restaurant
Authentic Vietnamese Food!#41 Hu Tieu My Tho (soup/dry) is the best in Metro Vancouver.#50a Bun Mam is very good since they have fresh toppings (squid, prawn, fish, crispy pork belly). The soup base is not too strong, so even many foreigners like it.
4.6 here is not a real score, I don’t know how did it get to that number. I came to try this place due to its high reveiw but I am disappointed. The price is so expensive and their pho is not so good and the meat on it is minimal as well as the rice noodles on it. Pork and beef barbeque taste good but the rice they used is inferior quality. The place is a dead spot if you come here there’s nothing else to go to except for the laundry and Aling Mary’s. I am never coming back to eat here again.
Food was okay, the banh bi was good but at $8.50 seems high. Value wise I fell like I am better off going to other similar places.
Taste of Pho - dropped in for a random visit today. Enjoyed a grilled chicken sub for $6.00! It was large and it was on a lovely fresh crusty roll. Will look forward to returning to try other items.Update, tried awesome chicken & veggie noodle dish.
This is a hidden treasure restaurant. The Pho tastes good but the grilled marinated chicken & pork taste better. The meat is crispy outside but tender inside. The price is reasonable as well. I’ll definitely repeat
