Visited here the other day. Really like the vibe of this place. Their staff is really friendly and attentive.Had their salmon oooshi, aburi salmon and prawn gyoza. Usually get the aburi salmon but, their oooshi is really good too.Really nice place to enjoy sushi and also convenient that they are close by to me. Their prices are reasonable and even have a 15% off promotion on take-out orders over $40. Glad to have tried their food and services.

Ordered a caterpiller role, chicken karrage, miso soup, ramen, and tempura.Caterpiller role wasnt rolled tightly enough and had old/frozen crab or something in it smelled way to fishy.Chicken karrage was just okay cooked well but nothing special.Miso soup was pretty good (standard miso paste in water nothing special or horrible)Ramen was chicken stock with water added to it absolutely gross. No flavor besides a cheap chicken broth you buy at a store and im pretty sure I ordered a pork ramen as well.Tempura was slightly undercooked in the middle of some of the veggies. All in all a cheaper asian place for people not familiar or experience with asian cuisine. Rude staff disliked telling about food being undercooked or improperly prepared. Would not go back or even want anyone to go unless you had no other option of food left anywhere else.

AMAZING little place in Surrey. They offer soybean sheets for certain rolls/per request as I’m not a major seaweed fan and this is not offered at every sushi place so I’m so happy I found Sushi Shogun. The rolls actually taste FRESH, you can tell the difference between restaurants… even the rice!! The quality here is very good and it’s my new go-to! Very friendly on phone/in-person, reasonable prices and fast service. I order here frequently I highly recommend trying if you haven’t.

Nice ambience, clean and service was good. Food is at par. For 2 people we had 1 salmon bento, 1 order of Takoyaki, 1 seafood stir-fried noodle which came to ~$37 with 5% tax included.

Ordered from here twice now and disappointed both times. The food is ice cold, dried out and over all extremely poor quality both times. We got take out both times and live directly across the street so the food should still be fresh when it arrives. These tempura and gyozas are so dried out and chewy and just not edible. The rolls weren't even properly rolled and falling apart. Some of the "Canuck Rolls" didn't even come with crab or cucumber at all. I didnt get a photo before we threw out the beef teriyaki but it was very chewy/fatty and not a good quality meat used. Was lacking in teriyaki sauce and they gave us the smallest amount of wasabi, they are soooo stingy. When i opened the bag they had just thrown in plastic containers of soy sauce and they spilled all over inside the bag This place does not take care and attention when preparing your food.I tried to love it twice now but sadly will not be back! There are MANY another options in the neighborhood like Sushi & Roll that I will continue to order from. What a waste of money this was ?

A friend recommended I try Sushi Shogun while I was in the area. The staff were super friendly. We ordered california rolls, dynamite rolls, a yam roll, and a spicy tuna roll. I really loved their spicy tuna roll and everything tasted really fresh. Great spot, but in a bit of a sketchy area. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Amazing little sushi shop in surrey! As you can see, the presentation is unbelievable. They really went over our expectations and I really appreciate that. We had a variety of rolls: the come roll, chopped scallop roll, salmon and avocado roll, lover roll and the crispy tuna delight roll. All of them were amazing and they blow torched a few of the rolls which adds a smoky flavor. I think they could have omitted the cheese in the come roll (it was the plastic american cheese) cause it didn't really add anything, but other than that, the food was amazing. We also ordered the takoyaki (standard, nothing special) and the fried squid (very good, sauce makes it tastier). I would absolutely come here again! The service was also amazing so I do highly recommend this place.

Not quality sushi. Three rolls were packed into a container sticking to each other and fell apart as I tried to pick them out. They were twice the standard size (good value for your money if you are looking for that) and were difficult to eat and again fell apart. The teriyaki chicken roll had skin on the chicken and was surprisingly warm… The edamame beans were undercooked. My daughter’s avocado roll had brown avocado in it. She loves soy sauce with it so I asked for extra. They gave us two packets. The miso was good. Needles to say we hardly ate any of the rolls. I will not order from them again.

This place is seriously Underrated, I believe it was one of the best sushi place in Vancouver. Fish quality is amazing, sashimi is great here. Kind people working there and they are surprising you by their amazing hospitality.Highly recommend.

Ordered on door dash. Food was packed well. Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll was amazing! Very thin batter and balanced spicy sauce. Yam tempura one of the best I've tried. Other rolls were very tasty too.
