We went with 5 people! Everyone's dinner was cold! The everyone's dinner was cold except the pizza it was actually amazing but everyone's dinner was cold except the pizza and she took our orders before we had drinks!! She probably could have got another drink from everyone if we didn't feel so rushed to get out of there! Half the table didn't have drinks and she took our appy orders at the same time she took our dinner orders!!

Not very good dining experience considering it was my son's birthday. We didn't feel a welcoming vibe considering the food taste just a little more ordinary. Most of the people there were seniors from the old world speaking their languages. Middle aged men behind the counter we're not on a smiling mood but look angry and seems a bit racist with attitude. This restaurant is old and smells. Our waitress though was nice and decent. Not coming back.

6 of us were there on a Tuesday and we all had their Tuesday special of an appy and 2 meals for $39.95. Lots of food, was fresh and very tasty.

For a restaurant thst has stood by time, it is not bad. The food is actually really good than the service and ambience of the place. As a matter of fact my server looked a bit all over the place, not sure if it was her style or just a off day. However the taste and quality of food made up for it. I will definately be visiting again for that roast lamb.

First time ordering from Royal Oak. Luckily the side of chicken I ordered for my dog was awesome. The baked seafood penne was a large portion - but I couldn’t eat it. The sauce had broken or curdled and the whole item was left tasting really off (Doordash).

Great food. Comfy seating. Service was ok. Our server didn't come back with coffee she forgot ! We waited like 20 mins and had to ask for it again.

We really enjoy their combo meals. It makes for a really good meal for 3 with tonnes of leftovers. The staff is always friendly and has the food ready to go in the time they say it will take.

Great food, great staff.Attended a 50th birthday party and look, Darth Vader was there as well

Had their Thanksgiving turkey dinner special. It was so good. Will definately go again when they have their turkey dinner. Make a reservation because they are busy during holidays. So much cheaper than making a bird at home. For dessert had their pumpkin cheesecake and it was delicious. Waitress said it was made in house.

I really wanted to love this place. Really. And I bet that in 1975, it would have been a destination restaurant.Sadly, they seem to be stuck in that era, with a menu that reads like a DIY manual, allowing infinite combinations of sauces, pastas and sides. The food seems intended to offend no one, with the inevitable side effect of truly satisfying no one either. The almost excessively perky server was prompt and attentive and friendly, but in a way that is more suited to a roadside diner than a restaurant trying to be a little upscale. My bet is that there are some gems on the menu and that there is a cadre of regulars who will be able to point out the one or two dishes that they have every week since the Mulroney days. With a little modernized menu and tighter focus on modern quality and standards, this place could be a lot better.
