It's so dark in there. Doesn't feel at all welcoming. Wasn't busy at all. On a Sunday brunch time. One server and bus staff. Bare minimum service. Menus looked like they were wiped with a dirty cloth. Took orders, brought food, brought the debit machine. Didn't have to ask fora coffee refill. Food was okay, but red onions on cubed hash browns? If I choose Ricky's again it will be the Fleetwood restaurant.
Food was really good, we were served by a lovely Asian lady. She went above and beyond to make sure we are enjoying our food and coffee, there is a new lady who was working there. We asked for a glass of water to the new lady and ended up waiting 20 mins for a glass of water, and then after 20 mins she remembered our glass of water and brought only one glass of water for 2 of us.Other than this our experience was really nice, this was our first time visiting this location. Good luck!
Okay, so this place went from super good many years ago, to really bad a few years back, and now back to really good again. Hope their kitchen staff stick around this time!Hash was crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. Same with the waffles. Food is well seasoned. 4.5 ⭐
Took the kids out to Ricky's for a treat however it was not what we remembered. We ordered their new fish and shrimp platter and kids meals. The shrimp was overcooked and the fish was a bit under. They said the kids couldn't have ice cream with their meals because of covid so she said they could just have the package of gummies. It took them about 40 minutes or more to bring out our food and we were the only table there. When we finally all got our food she said they were closing in 20 minutes. They brought out my youngests food last and it was just noodles so not sure how it took the longest. Kids finally went to eat their gummies and they tasted like perfume. We realized they were expired the beginning of last year. Overall not a good experience which us sad because it used to be one of our go to places with the kids.
The waitress was nice. The food was decent.
Nice to be able to go to a restaurant and have a basic breakfast menu. Nothing fancy but what you get is done right, you get what you ask for(bacon crispy, hash brown crispy) and the food comes out hot. I hate cold or Luke warm eggs. Service was fine. Lots of choices and tables are spaced out. My go to breakfast place in central city mall.
I've been going to this Ricky's for over a decade. It's a great establishment and the best breakfast place in the Surrey Central area. It's suffers a little by competing with the Boston pizza next door, but if you want a chill atmosphere with a lot more affordably priced food, Ricky's is the place! The milkshakes are also top notch!
Great food and staff was very kind. We had two good experiences there and we'll be back soon.
Only reason for 1 star was for the quality of the food that was decent. The quantity however was lacking, the waitress seemed to have preferential treatment to others who weren't of skin colour.*Come here if you like paying high prices for half quantity, like having a rude apathetic waitress.*Was a waste of my time and money. Won't return
It was chilly, really chilly. Even the waitresses wore cardigans. They said they had no control over the temperature. Our waitress seemed to forget about us. She wasn't very pleasant and a smile would have been nice. Food was okay. I had a seafood eggs Benny which was light on the hollandaise and the hash browns were shredded so they were crisp on the outside and undercooked inside.
