Only decent coffee shop in the area. Cappuccinos and London fogs are excellent and they have more non dairy milk options than most places. Croissants and carrot cake are high quality. I don't recommend the cold brew or the vegan pastries however. Kind of dry and tasteless. The seating area is aesthetically pleasing but highly uncomfortable. Quality is a lil inconsistent which seems to fluctuate with different staff members.
I’m obsessed with Prado cafe. Vegan/vegetarian options are UNREAL! Drinks are always made perfectly. Their vegan apricot cookie and chai latte is a must try. Super friendly staff! I love stopping by Prado any time I can.
One of the best coffees I've ever had was from here. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks of going here every day I found the quality to be wildly inconsistent and most of the time it just tastes like flavored water. As others have said, not sure if the problem is training or ethic. In any case, I won't be returning, nor would I recommend anyone else to.
Being a student at SFU Surrey, Prado is my go-to for coffee and reviews in between classes. I absolutely love the high ceilings, beautiful natural lighting, and ambiance of the café. I love their selection of pastries, drinks, and sandwiches and how friendly their staff is. This is definitely one of my favourite coffee places in Surrey.
I was feeling really unmotivated to study at home and I thought that going to a cafe with good food and ambience will help me focus more - and it did!Prado fits all the criteria I was looking for as a student:- Good food- Nice Ambience- plugs for my laptop (not a lot though, I came early so I was able to easily find a spot)Though they have signs up saying that we should be staying inside for 1hr or less, they don't really enforce it. It doesn't really get that busy here (kinda dead around 8:30am, gets busier at around 11am). Also people pass by in the morning with their dogs and its so cute seeing them :))Baristas are really nice, I pronounced a few items on the menu incorrectly and they still got what I meant. Lots of natural light. For food and drinks, I got a 12oz chai latte ($5.25,) and cheese scone ($4.53 including tip) (I asked to get it heated up, but it wasn't heated up enough for me so if you order this get it heated for longer) which both tasted good (for the chai I would have asked for more syrup, as I'm a sweet tooth - for comparison its less sweet than a starbucks chai latte). In the afternoon I originally planned to get fraser street breakfast or prado breakfast (anything with some poached eggs on sourdough really) but they currently do not serve anything with eggs or prosciutto. So I just got a caprese double toasted ($10.25 including tip), and it tasted good to me!I spent around ~$20 which was expected, and kinda pricey but I like to think I'm also paying for the space too. So I think its worth it!Hopefully this review is helpful.
Gorgeous coffee shop inside the Civic Hotel, nice space to visit with others or study. Unfortunately just not too many plug ins but they have great coffee!
Really friendly staff. Top notch beverages and pastries.Relaxed, glassed-in modern space to enjoy our drinks. We had an Americano Misto, a London Fog and a Matcha Latte. They were delicious! So were the Magic Bar and the Breakfast Cookie. Looking forward to a return visit!
Lattes are very good. Also had a cinnamon donut that was excellent. Very nice place to sit and do some work but it's usually busy so you might have a hard time finding a spot.
This cafe is a bit overpriced considering the quality of the coffee and food they sell. The chocolate pretzel was stale, dry, and rigid. However, it is a beautiful cafe with many seats and places to study. There is also a lot of natural light.
Got the cinnamon dolce macadamia latte and it was just okay considering it costed over $6. The grilled cheese was pretty good. Overall not a bad place but pretty overpriced.
