I went there two weeks ago Saturday morning with bunch of friends:) we called Girls day ??? oh my God thanks to one of our friend who speak Chinese she ordered the foods for us and was perfect choice each of them❤️ it was my first time to visit there and surprised how their food quality is good! No smell from meat dim-sum and nice crispy noodle… amazing!!! I don’t know the name so I took the photo of receipt lolMy husband is very Picky of meat smell this place is safe to bring him?

We've been going to Lee Yuen for decades, albeit out of the way and rather dingy, the service was good and food as good as you could get for Surrey area. My Birthday dinner was utterly horrid. Service was non-existent. Seated, lengthy wait between dishes which were LADEN with MSG. The roast duck was dry (no juice) and must have starved to death! All bones. Almond chicken good, but loaded with MSG, from 1st bite a reaction. Out of snow peas, so substituted beef with green beans. Dish arrived 30-40 mins. after others. COLD, not lukewarm, but fridge-cold,... even the plate served on was COLD! And the thick slabs of chewy beef saturated in MSG!!! Brought to staff attention that food was cold. NOTHING DONE (no offer to heat, nor any discount) So we packed food up (still hungry), paid and left. Within 1/2 hr. both of us were ill. Worse food, service, dining experience and waste of $70 meal. Unless you have a high tolerance to food soaked MSG additive and the time for no service.... avoid Lee Yuen. Will never return.

Had a great experience here tonight.Ordered 3 dinner for one's. Staff was friendly. Thee price was very reasonable for the amount you get. The fried rice, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour pork and chow mein was very flavorful. My wife's parents always order from here and now we will as well.

Have never dined in but have done take out about 4 or 5 times. The food is real good and portions are good as well.Ive eaten Chineses food my whole life and this is some of the best food Ive hadThe restaurant itself is nothing special as far as decor but whats most important is the foodWe prefer to eat at home with covid

I thought I would give it a try as I have not been here in many years. I heard good things about the restaurant's dim sum. So I thought I'm just going to try a couple items and see how it goes. I ordered, Special Prawn Dumpling & Steamed Pork Sui Mai with black truffle. The Prawn Dumplings were good and I like that I get 5 per order. But 100% the Pork Sui Mai with the black truffle, I have to say I'm a big fan. It had a nice flavor to it with the truffle on top. It is definitely a unique flavor that goes hand in hand beautifully. I will absolutely order that again. Regularly my go-to is the pork and shrimp sui mai but I think I like that more. I will definitely be going back and bringing my family with me as we all love dim sum.

Mix review.. I went here on Sunday to have dim sum with my family around 11am, and at that time there was only about 4 table including ours that were seated. We placed our order right away and got our food at a reasonable time within I say 15 minutes. About noon they started to get a rush of family’s coming in left and right. I started to notice the entire staffs started to panic and look so confused on what was going on. We tried to get a waitress attention for 10 min, and at that point there was just no luck with how busy and unorganized they were as a team. We continue to sit and wait then finally got a staff attention that we wanted to place a second order. Once we placed the second order we sat and felt like we were playing the waiting game. At this point the entire restaurant was completely full. I can see everyone faces just patiently waiting for their order. I notice one family was waiting to be seated and one waitress kept point at our table which was basically saying we are next to leave. Mind you we are still waiting for our second order. After 15 minutes of waiting for our second order I asked one of the woman if our order is still coming and she replied yes. The same woman 5 min later started to clear our table and I was lost for word.. I said excuse me we’re still waiting on our food, and the look on her face was even more confused. She said it’s okay ill bring you new plate and fork. 45 minutes later finally got our food my entire family just ate as fast as we can and wanted to leave. So, truly I have mix feeling. I say don’t come here when they have a rush but come when the entire place is completely dead quiet. Best time to get the best service.

This is my first time trying this restaurant since maybe 15 years ago. Went there for afternoon dimsum. Price is quite good for portion size, considering dining out prices have gone up 40-100% thanks to reckless irresponsible fiscal and monetary policies by our government. Would definitely go again.

To be perfectly honest, I've been reading a few of the latest reviews, and I was a bit worried coming here for lunch. We've been going here for so many years, but haven't gone since the pandemic, and since we moved to RichmondI have to be honest, I have no idea what the bad reviews are all about. The food is great as always, and the service is also excellent and super friendly as always. We went here for dimsum, and it did not disappoint. Everything is very tasty, and they all came out hot and fresh. We ordered the usual salted egg yolk deep fried prawns and yup, so good.I'm glad we went here, despite the recent bad reviews. Not sure what these people are on about, because I honestly enjoyed eating here today, as I did every time we came here. Will definitely try to come here more often!

If there is an option for a "zero" star, it's what I'll give this establishment. We found this resto by accident as we circled around trying to find a parking spot near Marine Drive for lunch. Hungry and all, we decided to give it a try.The line to be seated was not long, but it took 30 minutes before we were seen for the COVID vaccination card scan. And that's when we understand why-- there is only 1 person running the floor show, she played all the restaurant job excluding cooking (we hope).Once seated, the waiting time begins again. The server/cashier/waitress/ poured our tea (3 cups), no question asked IF we wanted it or not. Our 12 year old does not drink tea. That's when we saw the fine print on top of their menu **$1/person for tea or water**. Seriously?! $1 for a tap water. Wow! You won't choke from the food, you'll choke from the water price. They put all those other Asian resto who serves the tea for free out of business. Now, this starts the hangry part, we ordered about 10 items. What we were served first was rice. We finished almost half of the plate before we got the next 3..waited for about 35 mins before we got the rest of our orders. If you are hungry, not a place for you. Also, take note, you better eat all your food unless you wanted to pay $0.50 for your take out box.
