I had a chance to visit Kerala Kitchen in June 12 2022. It was an absolute treat for us. I would say they are probably next to Kerala experience. Porotta and beef fry was the best food experience I’ve had in Canada in the last 30 Yrs. Thank you staff and chefs. Keep up the quality and best customer friendly service. I highly recommend this place and when I travel I surely will visit this place again. My wife’s favorite was the thali. So good.
First time hereKotu pranta was good one of finest in surreyDosa was not good it could have been better other places in surrey has better dosa than here vadas were good and I recommend themThey need to train the servers or hire some experienced servers if possible
Was excited to go to this place, however, was a little disappointed after visiting. I surely got to eat some authentic food but the taste was not to the par I expected from the ratings. Loved the puttu but they didnt serve it with any curry (not even a banana and sugar ?). The fish in banana leaf and the fish curry were both ok, not the best. I didnt taste any touch of coconut in it. We visited on a weeknight so recommend going here in a weekend when they serve Avial and thalis, etc.
It was our first try and we were hoping to get some authentic flavors of Kerala food but sadly there was nothing special. Honestly it's bit pricey for just a regular south Indian food...
My initial review was "I ordered Veg fried rice with Chilli Chicken and Thattu Dosa Special (with beef). One of the worst fried rice and chilli chicken I ever tasted in Canada (I have been to ON, NB, NS, PEI and tried many Indian restaurants). Dosa was good. But the beef Curry was terrible. I see positive reviews for this restaurant in Google Maps. Because of that, we will reorder from here to see if they are taking this review seriously or not. If they are willing to improve I will edit this review." (1 star)Today I revisited this place and had some Appam, chicken curry, porotta and Biriyani. The first comment is, they improved way much better? Although I didn't like the chicken from the Biriyani(a little undercooked) overall, it was a great experience. Staffs were very nice. One suggestion is to get rid of the flies' issues. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try some Kerala specials.Updated review on March 12th:Ordered porotta and chilli chicken. Porotta was ok.(not exceptional) but chilli chicken was terrible!
We had the Goat and Prawn Thali. Excellent variety and well prepared authentic Kerala style lunch! We left so full and satisfied! Would definitely recommend ?
We were blown away by this experience!!!The only criticism we had is that they were playing music over a broken speaker. No music would have been better!!BUT WOW!! We loved our meal so completely. The flavours and spices used are notably different in the South Indian cuisine versus that of the North. We had these amazing soups, small donut-like lentil appetizers and then dosas bigger than the plate could handle!Everything was tasty and the folks were welcoming.
The spicy chili beef was amazing.kerala porata bread is so good.Great srevice
Hands down the best parotta and beef outside of Kerala?
The buffet they had for new year was outstanding. Helpful staff. Great service. Lots of room for dine in. Great place for South Indian Taste.
