It's conveniently located at the first floor of the Guildford Mall, adjacent to the groundfloor parking lot towards Walmart supercenter. The wait time is very reasonable, not exceeding 15 minutes. The foods we ordered are piping hot and tasted like they should be ? There's free wifi, as well.
We ordered the Tan Tan Ramen ($10.95), Shoyu Ramen ($9.50), and Spicy Salmon Salad ($5.95).Good:Price is really decent considering most ramen places are around $15. Portions are quite generous and service was quick.Bad:The Tan Tan Ramen did not taste like Tan Tan at all. It just tastes like a bland Tonkotsu broth with chili oil on top. There was barely any ground pork in it. The chashu in the Shoyu Ramen was too fatty. Noodles are too soft. The salmon salad was a surprise because I found a fish bone while eating it. Tastes good though.Overall, it's a casual restaurant that has a variety of food: donburi, sushi, ramen, etc. but don't expect the food to be superb quality and watch out for fish bones when eating sashimi.
we waited so long for our food! Waited 20 mins for our wings just to get it raw and bloody inside... Our squid was also served cold and chewy. The ramen was okay but you can tell the corn was straight from the can because it tasted like the creamy style sweet corn! absolute sadness
First time here, I am quite impressed by the decor.Food is inexpensive, but tasting unexpected decilious, enjoyed the ramen so much!
Perfect place for Chinese knockoff of Japanese Ramen. If you’re into fake stuff. The gyoza tasted like mass produce kind you can buy in bulk. Definitely not made in store.
I was looking forward to having a ramen place nearby, but I was quite disappointed with my experience here.I ordered fried chicken ramen with additional pork. Only the fried chicken and pork had flavours; the soup was bland and noodles were soft and didn't have any taste to it. I tried the tonkatsu that we ordered, but it was thinly sliced, very dry and chewy. We also tried their takoyaki, and it needed more flavour to it.Other than the food, their cocktails were good and refreshing. I liked the sake mojito a lot. The restaurant was bright, clean and a bit spacious. Also, the staffs were nice and friendly.
Disappointed with quality of food. As a person who has been working in multiple restaurants for 5 years I can tell they decided to take some shortcuts for convenience at the expense of quality.Rice is dry and yellowed from being in the pot for a long time, thankfully, when asked for a new one the waitress kindly apologized and brought me a fresh side of rice.Katsu, I would like to think that they made the cuts and then fried again? As seen in the picture, it was very dry and cooked from outside in.Their Plum Wine Spritzer cocktail was a pleasant surprise, it was refreshing. This was my second visit, and I’d like to say it’s probably a decent place to visit casually for families. Portions are pretty generous, price is fair, but the food quality isn’t very competitive.Lastly! Workers need to communicate! I saw multiple occasions where food was ready to be served but the servers did not see or check up often. My food was up on the counter for at least 4 minutes :(.2 star is the best I can give overall!
Honestly if I could I would rate it no stars. Absolutely horrible service and food.Got into the restaurant and waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order after we flagged down a staff member and they said the would grab someone. Took our order and brought us back tea with grease in it. We told our waitress and she told us that was the tea leaves floating in the tea… it is very clearly grease. She reluctantly gave us new tea and didn’t say a word when she took the cups away and gave us new ones that also had grease in them.First item comes out and we get agedashi tofu - I don’t know where to start here this is a pretty basic dish as it’s just deep fried tofu with sauce. The sauce was horribly watered down and has zero flavour to it. We really had to stop and think if we had covid because it really had no flavour to any of it. We had once piece each and asked the waitress to take it away.Second item out is the tobiko fried rice and came probably about 5 minutes after the tofu- again a pretty simple dish but somehow they managed to mess up this item too - completely flavourless and it really is just fried rice, no egg. Ate two bites and gave up on it.Third item was the shoyu ramen and we waited 20 minutes for this. For a ramen restaurant you would expect this item to come out pretty quickly but nope. This was the worst ramen I’ve ever had. The chashu was dry and overly salted, the bamboo tasted fresh out of a pre packed old bag, the noodles were hard with no flavour and lastly the soup was too oily and salty with the dirty pork flavour.Absolutely not worth your money. Also: if you’re going to make your kitchen visible - you should probably make sure your chefs are wearing their masks.
Love trying ramen places during the fall. Fall weather matches with ramen perfectly. This place offers pretty good ramen at affordable prices. We had the kawawa and original ramen along with the ika ring and the gyoza.I had the kawawa ramen and the broth really made this. The broth was rich and creamy but, did not feel heavy. The noodles were nice and springy as well. Wasn't that big of a fan of the roast pork as I think it was too lean and could have been more tender. The kawawa ramen paired with the gyoza was pretty good too.We were disappointed with the ika ring though. Probably the worst one we've tried anywhere. It was like chewing rubber and was not very enjoyable. Maybe it was a bad batch, I don't know.Props to the servers doing the best they can but, they were understaffed when we went here. Only two servers with one also tasked with mixing drinks. Our appies were on the counter for 5 mins before we got it and thats probly why the ika ring felt like chewing rubber.
They have larger servings than the competition and the price is affordable. The ramen are tasty and really delicious to the last drop. Will come back again soon to try their bento box which is not available when I visited.
