Food has always been tasty. The churro were heavenly. I've noticed that the service can be quite slow here. Margaritas were okay, nothing amazing.
I lived in Mexico for 11 years so I’ve tried all kinds of Mexican food. Food was pretty good, would recommend trying! I’d recommend the burrito ahogado, the tacos looked pretty good too but I didn’t have one. Not expensive, but I didn’t think the value was there. In my opinion, the menu pricing needs to be re-evaluated.
Cool, hip little place with a nice patio to eat on. Be a nice place to come chill with friends have some drinks and eat some food! The food was pretty delicious and the service was spot on. Definitely worth your time to come here eat and have some drinks!
Good food and the service was excellent! Our server was attentive and continued to check in on us throughout our meal. The guacamole lacked some seasoning but the rest of the food was delicious and we really enjoyed the variety of tacos.
Omg!!! The food is so so good. And i really loved their authentic drinks and authentic food. It took little long but was soooooo yummy. I think the pictures will speak for itself ??
We went to Hugo’s last year and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I know that the closures have cost restaurants a lot and everyone is trying to recoup but my recent visit was very disappointing. The online happy hour menu has items on it that are no longer included on the actual happy hour menu. I ordered the bowl I wanted anyways despite it being advertised at a different price. I asked for beef and it came with chicken and the portion was very small so I had to fill up on chips. I tend to be over stuffed if I eat a whole portion at most restaurants but this was not the case. They also didn’t have the beer as advertised on the happy hour menu, they substituted for a bottled beer at the happy hour price which was fine. My friend ordered a margarita and two were delivered to her. We aren’t complaining but clearly there is a bit of a gap in communication with the staff. I find that service and quality have gone down hill over the last two years and in order to retain customers restaurants need to step it up a notch or I’ll just continue eating at home.
Amazing place to get rich,tasty, amazing, fresh and big portioned mexican food in town... Me and the girlfriends thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. The hawaina was the best margarita I've had,, and they had the watermelon margarita as a special for Cinco de Mayo.. and the person who made our food was very good looking?beautiful friendly people served us today and our bellies were full... it has been an extremely delightful visit to Hugo's today
Ordered for the first time from here from Uber eats . Order came 65 minutes late even though I live like 10 mins away. On top of that the tofu and cauliflower tacos were BURNT to the core! There was gross oil leaking through the tacos ! There was no lettuce or any other toppings other than pickled onions and some measly cilantro! If you are going to charge 20 dollars for 3 tacos atleast make them taste good if not presentable! I will never eat here or order from here again. I’m glad I did not eat it because it’s not edible . I would have gotten sick for sure. To the trash it goes. What a waste and what a disappointment. How can people run a good business like this when you can’t even serve properly cooked food !
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants we have been to! Hand made tortillas, churros and chips. The guacamole is a must try! It’s a family owned and operated business and the staff is incredibly friendly! We will definitely be back.
My girlfriend and I take out from Hugo’s often, but this time we decided to dine in. The food was amazing as usual, however, we waited almost an hour for our meals (note: we didn’t order a lot). After taking a few bites into the soup, it was a bit cold. We had to ask them to heat it up. On top of that, the ambience (ex: the music) felt too much like a club versus a typical casual restaurant. Rating it a 3/5 because the food is always great, but it would be a 2/5 for service. It could be better!
