I loved the restaurant and the food. They provide value for your meal. It is a nice experience.I hadn’t known about this restaurant until recently and i loved everything about it.
The fish burger did not have any taste except the bun. It smelled and tasted probably like cod that was in the freezer for sometime. Fries were good alongwith the pop from the machine. The only thing good was that the order came in pretty fast.I have tried the pizza earlier which was pretty good in taste as well. But this time it just lacked any flavor and specially for the amount you pay i could have had a decent burger nearby for less than what I paid.
I've not been at Fesgo Inn since the 70's & early 80's when Walter and his famous Fresgo Inn was on Robson Street. Now, 2022 here with dad & D at the Surrey, BC location.Dad had the famous Mushroom Burger, D had the Breakfast Special and I had the Philly Steak Sandwich w/ Fries. We also got the famous Cheese Cake & Lemon Meringue Pie. All the deserts, 1/2 of Dads Mushroom Burger and my Philli Steak are for dinner tonight.Walter is still cooking and spoke with dad and myself.A happy trip down memory lane.
I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked into this restaurant today. 80s music playing, cute neon signs and all the retro vibe! I really loved the atmosphere here because it felt comforting. The food was massive in portions and overall satisfying. (I found the foods to be bland but I guess that's why they have salt shakers on every table ?) The cheese cake for dessert was very light and creamy, it's definitely worth a try!I would definitely visit this place a lot more. My new favorite restaurant ?
we went tonight very disappointed my son ordered the fish/chips the fish was rock hard no taste not to mention$19.95!We haven't been for so long and we're looking forward to go there for dinner only to leave very dissatisfied and with a hungry child?Sadly won't be back.
Large portions, tasty, great prices and a bakery! I highly recommend Fresgo’s!
Stuck in the 80's. That's not a bad thing. Good tasting , comfort food served in large portions. Dated furnishings finish the look. Great times with big burgers!
This place has been around for a long time. It's a great place for comfort food, large portions and reasonable prices. Great for families. They also have an in house bakery. Lots of seating as well. Pictures are of the burger special and a double mushroom burger.
We made our yearly trek out to Surrey last night and decided to visit Fresgo for dinner because they don't require a vax pass. It is a cafeteria style restaurant where you stand in line to order and when the order is ready, you come up to the counter and get it yourself. The restaurant is on the main drag (King George Hwy) but the building is turned side ways to the street so it can be difficult to see. But it does have ample parking, plenty of seating and the restaurant is very clean. I had the Prawn Stir Fry. Wow, so many prawns and huge plate of food. I was able to take half of it home to enjoy the next night. They do charge for a take away container so bring your own. My husband had the Eggs Benedict. One of my sons had the Hawaiian Pizza with enough to take home for another meal. You can take pizza home in the box it comes in. My other son had Caesar Salad and Chicken Fingers with fries. I tasted the fries. They were really good. All kinds of desserts available. We had a strawberry Mousse Pie, Black Forest Cake and Chocolate. All the food was great, no complaints. And the prices were very good. The food came very quickly even with the place being busy. I wish there was a location closer to where we live. But next time we are in Surrey, we will be back.
Great food great portions great value. Just the way I remember it from 20 years ago.
