Two contrasting experiences in a single day. This has been a favourite takeout place for mine and my husband’s pizza/pasta cravings however today has been good and disappointing.Tuesdays are Pasta Tuesdays so myself and my husband decided to go for a quick lunch. We ordered a Marinara sauce Penne with chicken and mushroom(basic toppings). The dish was nice and saucy. Ample amount of toppings,good bread and overall a very satisfying meal. The owner I am guessing was very sweet and humble towards all the customers and it was very welcoming. We felt like visiting again in the evening since it was our date night.Now for the disappointing evening review; we felt quite unwelcome as the lady who took our order seemed kinda tired(no humble welcome feels). We ordered a pasta Alfredo with chicken and mushroom(again very basic stuff). We specifically mentioned to separate in two plates but we were served one(no problem but finer details) . Now for the taste, pasta was lacking flavour, very dry and not upto the mark. I mean if we are paying 19$ we should get good quality.Would I come back? Probably not in the evening.
Tried the Pancetta pizza and Ferrero Rocher dessert pizza. The pancetta pizza was incredible, everything I want on a pizza! Their garlic sauce is really good too. Huge selection on their menu. The location is a little small, but I hope the community can continue supporting them so that they can keep growing! Even a food delivery driver saw how good the pizzas looked and got pizza himself :)
Amazing pizza and phenomenal service! Most delicious gluten-free pizza ever too. I ordered two pizzas from here, one gluten-free and the other regular. When they arrived I was convinced they mixed them up (because the gluten-free crust looked way too good and fluffy) , and the manager spoke with me on the phone and was so kind and patient with me. I was wrong- it was gluten free! I have a severe allergy so was very nervous and asked him at least 10 times if he was sure. He continued to be patient and outlined their thorough cleaning procedure for gluten free pizza.Thank you so much :)
We’ve been here a few times now. I love the quality and authentic Neopolitan style thin crust pizza baked in a brick oven. Going for something new we tried the Toscana this time. It did not disappoint. The garlic dip is also a lovely bonus. We brought the freshly made pie to Bear Creek park since it was such a beautiful day. Couldn’t have had a better match. Great pizza and great staff. Thanks Captain’s Oven!

Absolutely love this pizza place. It has my favourite pizza of all time, the Mediterranean, and many other options that I love. There are many great vegetarian options available. The garlic sauce is a must as it is some of the best I have had; a little goes a long way. The chocolate cake from here is also divine! I always recommend this place if you’re looking for really good pizza. The prices are so worth what you get.
Such a clean, lovely fun environment. Make it yourself or choose from so many options. Fresh dough hand tossed, where do you get that now a days?! Delicious authentic Neapolitan pizza for sure. We drove home to Richmond and White Rock as we were coming from other cities for health appointments. The smell wafting through the building made it irresistible to avoid. Not super saucy or heavy, I’d get a side of pizza sauce or dip for the crust as there’s a lot of bread. Hawaiian was dry like no red sauce and the other pizza the same.

Discovered this hidden gem when I was at the Surrey Central Urgent Care ?, I tried three pizzas so far, both takeout and delivery:1⃣️ Oceanside Pizza: ???My mom’s favourite, creamy and fresh with seafood, topped with arugula. A bit salty to my taste and generous amount of scallop. Where are the shrimps???2⃣️Truffle Mushroom Pizza: ????I have to say this is pretty yummy! Not so salty, the mushroom is tender and fresh. Although I think Virtuous Pie has the best mushroom pizza, but Captain’s Oven is closer and I enjoying their mushroom pizza!3⃣️Tuna Pizza: ??This order was completely ruined by my Uber driver, however, I am still very disappointed at the pizza itself. For over $26, I was expecting to be fresh tuna chunks but it’s canned tuna. Very salty and fishy, not really my taste. I will not order again.Overall I enjoy this little pizza place, there are so many other flavours and I am excited to try them!
