Although the restaurant was very busy, the staff made every effort to get us a table as soon as possible. The wait was quite long, which was understandable as the food and service were both outstanding. We were delighted to taste Chinese food for the first time. We had dim sum—they tasted amazing! Everyone working at the restaurant was so polite and professional even though they were very busy.I’d definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try.
Very nice dim sum restaurant. We didn't make a reservation, arrived at 10:50am, and managed to get the last table.Egg tarts are best, both the traditional one and the durian egg tarts!
Very good dishes and service, in a very nice environment. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner. You pay just a little more for much better service and food quality. I will try the dim sum there, next time.
Couldn’t get a reservation at Kirin, even for the next day, (admittedly it’s for a Saturday) checked around for good ratings/reviews at other dim sum places and chanced upon YUE. Had a hard time getting parking (thus the minus 1 star) and was not really impressed by its nondescript frontage, thinking I must have made a mistake making the reservation! Walked in and it was pandemonium - so many people waiting and the receptionist jumping around excitedly - good sign!! A bit of a wait for our table, even with our reservation , which is pretty well par for the course at good Dimsum places all over the world. Pretty good tea and the food did not disappoint! Crispy fresh sliced Kai Lan wok fried over garlic was exceptionally good and the shrimp rice roll looks to be freshly made for each order - and of course the texture is perfect. Big sized chicken paws attest to the fact that they do use good quality ingredients. The Portuguese egg tart is as expected, sweeter than the regular Chinese style egg tart. All in all quite satisfied with this new to me dimsum place.
Dimsum was fresh and tasty! Lots of options and reasonable.priced for being in richmond.
I have been to many Dim Sum restaurants in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver and by far this is the most impressive. The food quickly won me over! The dumplings can tell are steamed to perfection and not overcooked- if you are an fan like me, the char sui pastry is so light, flaky and delicious, it’s a winner, and the sticky rice wrap- OMG it is so full of flavour! The desserts are excellent because they look not from a factory but hole made. Wow! 5 stars! I ate it s fast I didn’t even take pics!
Very good tasting dim sum, and excellent service. The deep fried taro scallop curry pork dumpling was crunchy and full of flavor, the shrimp and chive dumpling was equally flavorful. The deep fried pork dumpling was a crunchy soft chewy outer layer filled with tasty pork, and the prawn rice rolls had a generous amount of large prawns.
Roomy tables and pricing of dim sum is pretty fair for what you get. Lovely interior but parking can be troublesome during peak hours but can always find pay parking along alexandra road.
The service was great. The food was amazing. Dim Sum variety was okay - they seemed to have more sweet than savory. Portion sizes were good. Their bbq pork baked bun was drool worthy. My friend and I don't read or speak any dialect of Chinese so we appreciated the menu having English descriptions. The tea was delicious and the staff were so attentive to make sure our kettle always was full and hot. Definitely worth a repeat visit.
2021.11 dim sum are not heavy flavor. On the light side, a bit larger portion than normal. More presentation. Food are good. Except 腸粉, a bit disappointed, this is the only dim sum not fresh enough or taste good.
