STUPENDOUS! the atmosphere is so cozy and cafe-like, unlike other typical loud, rushed restaurants. you can sit down and enjoy the quiet vibe while eating high-quality dishes! the fish are all so fresh, they melt the moment you eat them! you can tell the ingredients are good quality and fresh, and the chef puts lots of effort into making each one. he has lots of talent and it's clear he enjoys preparing such delicacies. you must try their house roll, oysters and chef's choice sashimi!
A true craftsman who is devoted to make the most excellent sushi for his customer. Definitely a visit to visit if you’re in Vancouver. Value for money.
The location is very easy to find parking. And the service was really good. Felt like a small family run operation which was very nice. It wasn't too crowded inside. The sushi was good, however, I could not handle the wasabi that was put inside the sushi by the sushi chef. Literally constant flow of tears and pain while eating. But it was still good since the fish felt fresh.
Wow! The food here is phenomenal! No words to describe other than delicious and thank you. Definitely will come back again!
This is a small quaint Japanese restaurant that is operated by a husband and wife duo. Although the menu isn't very big, it does have a good variety of cooked and raw items. One of the things done really well is the sushi rice. It is very flavorful and a good balance. They also make the nigiri with an appropriate amount of rice which is not too much (some may consider it small), which allows me to enjoy more sushi. The other thing they do really well is the barbecue fish heads. Ask the staff what they have available. In each instance, I've never been disappointed with the food. Service can be slow, but be patient as it's a husband & wife business.
The sushi and other food are good. A little bit pricey. The place is nicely decorated. Ambience is good and the customers are quiet. I would recommend they hire one more staff instead of seeing the lady running around taking and packing takeaway orders, receiving phone reservations, taking dine in orders, serving food/tea, cleaning up the tables, etc. etc. Having one more staff could have given the customers a better dining experience. Having said that, the lady is very nice and friendly.
I haven't been to Japan myself but I'd like to think that the experience here is close to the being there.
I've been here a few times and every time I leave this place really happy.I would say one of the best sushi places I've tried in Richmond, very consistent.I usually order their chef's choice sushi. Service is friendly and food comes out pretty quickly considering it's only one chef making the food. Food is tasty. nice portions and fresh!Highly recommended!I do recommend you call maybe a couple of days in advance to reserve a table before you come, since opening hours are short and most tables are reserved every night. I see many people get turned away when they try to show up without a reservation.
While I also enjoy North American sushi, nothing beats the real deal. The focus is on the fish and not the sauces or crunchy add ons. Simple, clean and real flavours. This place is one of the more authentic places in town. The quality of the fish is excellent. This will definitely be one of my regular places to enjoy sushi.
Wow, best sushi I have ever had for a while! Miso soup is light but tasty, Suggest to have it before other dishes. Sashimi is very fresh, chef’s choice is the best combo of everything. Service is great and quick. Definitely will come back.
