Came here for an early mothers day dinner and overall a pretty good experience. Before I go any further, DO NOT ORDER THE KING CRAB. Portions and prices for everything was very generous and reasonable but the king crab was borderline inedible as it was so salty. If you've ever been to a seafood buffet that advertises "snow crab" or the like, you'll likely get the idea. The crab legs are there, but it's akin to surviving at sea. You're surrounded by water but you're likely to die of thirst as the salt water is obviously not potable. Avoid the king crab and everything else will be delicious and worthwhile.
A friend recommended this restaurant but I was a little unsure as I’d read a few unflattering reviews. I’m so glad we ignored them as we had a wonderful dinner and a great time! I had the $45 price fixe which was a fantastic deal. Started with a delicious prawn cocktail, then a large, perfectly cooked filet mignon, and ended with an excellent tiramisu. My friend really enjoyed the clam chowder and fish special entree. I forgot to take photos until we’d already dig in so they’re even bigger than shown.
I love their wonderful seafood options. Food is tasty. Reasonable price, super friendly servers made my dining experience very enjoyable. Will visit again for sure!
We were a little worried about going to this restaurant after reading some of the reviews. We were so very glad that we ignored the reviews and went to the restaurant. We had a fantastic supper last night! Service and food were top notch! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I hate going out and spending money because service is usually bad at restaurants. Also when a problem comes from how food is cooked usually rude. Just waste of hard earned dollars. But my wife like to go out so what can do. This place is friendly and great service. I had steak even though its called seafood house and it tasted really good for me.
The food here is amazing, the portions are good for the price. The service very friendly and knowledgable. The only thing missing from being five stars is having some GF fries and bread as an option for celiacs.
I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the reviews or the price point. I ordered the mussels and I had to send it back as they were old and tasted very off. I ordered the sable fish and the rice it came with was old, dry and cold. Everything was extremely under seasoned. We ordered the crab legs which also weren’t great. I had to borrow a lighter from the table next to us for the butter because the server forgot to light it and didn’t come back. Everything was extremely dated including the music which didn’t go with the ambiance. This place is in need of a refresh and revamp of the menu. Nothing about this place was fresh which is sad given the proximity to fresh seafood. Arctic char special had so much going on even the server comment on it. Service was what I’d expect at a Denny’s not from a restaurant at this price point. I definitely won’t be coming back.
For the price of their menu items, you would expect some fine dining quality food but unfortunately it’s overly priced mediocrity. Do not get sucked into the cheap oysters they’re offering, they’re the smallest oysters you could ever have! It’s actually insane that they’d offer to have these served at a restaurant. Service was also subpar and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Save your time and invest the 20-30 minute drive to go to Rodney’s restaurant for real oysters and seafood. It’s pricey but at least you’ll get a bang for your buck. Safe to say I’m never coming back here.
Celebrated my cousin’s 75th birthday last night and as usual the food was excellent and the service spot on!! Even if you have a non seafood lover in your midst, I encourage you to try the Steveston Seafood House. Lamb, steak and schnitzel, to name a few round out the menu! You know a place is good when someone is prepared to travel from Aldergrove for dinner.
The staff are wonderful and the food is superb ??
