Good bar with good beer and good food but $30 for two beers! This is more than the onboard price....
Never order Tuna poké ever again here, smelly and gross tuna. I couldn't eat. Otherwise fair price good spot for layover
Lots of table seating and a nice size bar. Good beer selection, food was very good, and service was great. Kudos to bartender Linda, server Jason, and manager Clay. I was early and had many hours to kill before my flight so I made a couple visits to this place in the same day.
Stopped by since I had a ton of time before my flight. Got the Stanley Park sun setter wheat ale ($10.50) and the mushroom melt burger with fries ($19.99). This place gets pretty busy depending on how many people are flying out the domestic terminal. But the food and beer was pretty decent and the service was good when they weren’t busy.
I stopped for dinner before my flight home yesterday. The staff/service was excellent, very friendly, helpful. I observed the staff working together and they clearly enjoy each other and have fun, that dynamic clearly comes through with the service. I ordered a glass of wine, it was delivered promptly ... I relaxed for a bit, read some of my book, the server was attentive but not overbearing. After a while I ordered my meal, the grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered the potato crisps as the side. Everything was excellent. As with all restaurants in airports it was pricey, but it was really, really good. I will happily come back. And once again, GREAT, friendly, attentive service ... Thank you
We had a meal and some drinks here while waiting for our flight. The service was super friendly and quick. Beer and other drinks were very good. The food could be improved, i got the tuna poke bowl and the tuna did not taste the best. My partner got a burger which was pretty good and the fries were fresh and crunchy
There are not many options to eat after you passed security. At least this place is decent to grab food quickly. I got my breakfast in less than 10mins and it actually tasted decent so I would still recommend the breakfast.
I ordered the Beyound Meat burger in a lettuce wrap, no cheese, onions, or Stanley Taphouse sauce, with a side garden salad due to allergies for gluten and dairy. First the kitchen insisted the Beyound Meat burger has wheat in it. The server even brought me the ingredient list to show me yeast was in it. Even a basic kitchen should know yeast isn't wheat, although I appreciated the concern. The burger was dry, no ketchup or even mustard was on it or brought out. I didn't bother asking for any. A&W's Beyound Meat burger has better flavour. The salad was limp. I told the server my thoughts on the salad and she did not understand what I meant by "limp." It was like trying to eat the expired dredges of a bagged salad. She did offer to bring me another one, but I passed. Next time I'm passing through YVR, I'll just bring a Subway sandwich from the public side through security.
I could not find the location we ate at, which was the departure lounge at Vancouver international Airport. After a long overnight flight from Hawaii, and before a connecting flight internally, we went for breakfast at the Stanley Park Taphouse. The full breakfast had three pale yellow yoked eggs, which were not runny, as requested. The sausage was tasteless and the toast was warm. Not the breakfast I expected for the price. Really, just because the options are limited at an airport, it does not excuse poor quality at a higher price, because you are not a fast food outlet. Never again
One of the nicer places to eat at the airport. The scoop:Crispy Cauliflower: tastes like it sounds. Essentially, just fried cauliflower drenched in sweet Thai chili sauce. Mildly bland but alright. The presentation is nice.Spinach and Chevre Omelette: A decent hearty omelette. Comes with standard cubed breakfast potatoes and toast with peanut butter and jam.Orange Juice: not fresh squeezed but good quality whatever brand it was.Prosecco: Real nice :)Overall, it's a nice place to dine in the domestic terminal of the airport. The food is comparable to average pub food.
