Shady Island Seafood Bar & Grill has exceptional service and a variety of delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. I came to this restaurant on Friday with some of my friends and they did not disappoint us! Tried a Thai iced tea that was very refreshing and shared the classic fried seafood platter. Our waitress was also very kind and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back!
Loved my time at Shady Island during our recent trip to Vancouver. Our server sat us by the window and we had a nice view of the pier. Food was delicious, from the half dozen Pacific Jewel oysters, Salmon fish and chips, to the surprisingly yummy Pad Thai (didn't think we would find a solid Pad Thai out in Steveston but there it was). Would highly recommend as a lunch stop on a day out to Steveston Village!
This was our 2nd time here. 1st time was at the height of Covid so we wanted to try it again during "normal" times to see if it still met expectations.Expectations met!!The food was amazing and the service was incredible. When we asked for a table we were told it may be 45 minutes to an hour wait for food once seated but it was the reason for stopping in so of course we said ok.It was less than half an hour and it definitely didn't disappoint.Now that we live in BC we will be back more often than ever 2 years.
Took a patio side seat. It was a nice experience. The food was amazing and the ambiance was nice with friendly staff. Overall, a must try place....
Been to this restaurant before and each time has been wonderful, the food is exceptional, and the staff are very pleasant and attentive, thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere here and can't wait to go back. However I did find it a little unprofessional and a bit tacky that one of the cooks came out and half sat half stood at a table and started talking to the man that was seated there, and came out multiple times to chat to the man at that table.
we just visited for a dinner.there is so many great looking meals in the menu so i couldn't choose by myself...i let our server to surprise me and she didn't get wrong ?i have got a wonderful chicken homemade style yammmmi and the perfect desert ?.the service was fantastic and the atmosphere so quite and romantic. just excellent dinner.
The Thai is amazing... Highly recommend the cashew chicken. The burger is a family favourite too. All the staff are fantastic and they treat you like family. It's a hidden gem more people should know about.
The white sangria is a hit with me. Our server Sachi enhanced our experience of scallops with bacon and grilled prawns. Definitely looking forward to our next visit to the wonderful BC coast.
Mediocre fish and chips. Me and my family came here because of the reputation, sadly I must say it's just over hyped disappointment with a high price tag.
I went there with my family, the service is perfect and the restaurant is very clean, is highly recommended to everyone.
