Randomly walk into this place when we visited Vancouver! This place has huge selections of Korean food. Everything we ordered was delightful and tasty. Very small place but relatively clean.Note, that they only accept debit or cash.If you are looking for inexpensive, delicious Korean food, and decent service this is your spot!
Hidden gem! Quick service and good value for your buck. Probably not the *best* Korean food you’ll find but it’s right up there, but seems homey and authentic.Banchan: unlimited but you do have to ask for refills. Only kimchi and marinated beansprouts.Parking can be tricky; it’s in a small plaza. Cash/Debit only
For a Thurs evening past normal dinnertime it was pretty steady. Big portions for the price. Enjoyed my pork tonkatsu and look fwd to trying some of the other items on their menu, next time.
Consistent food, good prices, and large portions. A quick and no nonsense place perfect for easy eats. Been here many times and hasn't dissapointed me. Be prepared for possible waits during rush hour meal times as it does fill quickly. The 1 hour dining time limit helps with turnover.
Cash and debit only. Hidden gem. Free parking. Great food and values. There are few Korean restaurants in Richmond and I think this one might be one of the best. It is a small place inside a strip mall across the Richmond Public Market on Westminster Hwy at Richmond. 10 minutes walk from skytrain station. The mall has limited parking. The parking lot is busy all the time. However, usually you can find a spot within 10 minutes. We went there on Sunday afternoon. It is busy thru out the lunch time. Average around 10 minutes wait for a table. The place doesn’t have fancy decor but has a good vibe. People come here for their good food. They only take cash or debit card and usually means good value. They have many items on their menu. From hot pot, soup, dumpling, bibimbap, katsu, kimbap, to ramen. We have tried a few dishes and all are great. We have ordered a small Korean Style Seafood Pancake. The size is perfect to share with few people. It is very good. A must try.We also ordered a Pork Back-bone Stew. It served as a hot pot. For the medium size, it have 8 good size pork bones. Also has good amount of meat on the bone. The soup is medium spicy and kind of salty but it is perfect to eat with rice (it comes with 2 bowls of rice). This stew can really warm you up on a cold day.We also have their Korean Style Beef Roll (kimbap) and Big Don Katsu. Both of them are good in size. Kimbap looks like Japanese sushi but definitely have different kind of taste. If you never have kimbap before and you like sushi then you should give it a try. The katsu is pork cutlet. It serves with rice, fries and salad. The service is fast and friendly. I will come back again to try other items on the menu.
I think it’s pretty average for Korean food. The service was nice and quick and the portions are really big for the price, but we thought the quality of food was just okay. The pork katsu was a little dry but it was still a good meal. About $15 per person before tax and tip, $20 per person if you get appetizers. You only get beansprouts and kimchi for the side dishes and it’s an extra $1 for any refills.
We ordered Chicken Katsu, spicy beef tofu soup and seafood pancake. All were nice and with large portion. The only thing to improve should be including more side dishes. It only offered kimchi and bean sprout, but I loved potato, and they did not offer it. Anyway, nice experience. I recommend going early, like 12:00pm, otherwise it may get very busy. I appreciate that they checked vaccine proof strictly.
I've tried the restaurant few times, for me their food is ok. The service wasn't bad. At least I did not hear any complain when there was a 7 people table beside me. This time I've ordered chicken katsu set. And yes, their deep-fried protein was described as past posters, kinda dry which I was totally agreed. And there was no katsu sauce on the side, only ketchup. That was why I only give 4 stars.
Homestyle Korean comfort food at its finest. Really great portions and fast service. peak hours usually have a lineup but no more than 10-15mins.
There was line up getting in. The food tasted pretty good. The menu is posted on the wall, so customers need to turn around or duck a bit or squint eyes to see. There were flies traveling around.
