Good service and nice interior for hanging out. Coffee quality and selection was pretty good. Enjoyed the aeropress, but the Earl gray cookie tasted the same as a shortbread cookie.
Rocanini roasts their own coffee which is great. First time I was there I got a pour over. It was clean and smooth. The second time, I got a capuccino. I personally like the pour over better but both are good. One extra note to make, the have very nice design on their cup and the coffee bag. Really cool!
This cafe has nice seating and big bright windows. The one thing that could be improved is the music. Loud pop and house is played, and it is not relaxing. I would love to hear some chill, ambient “cafe-style” music here. Friendly service!
Nice relaxing environment. Good decor and trendy atmosphere. The coffee was $4.20 for an americano and $4-6 for the pastries. Nothing too special but it a good place to sit when you are in the area.Staff was friendly and the desserts were plated well.
The atmosphere is overall great, if you are gonna sit there for a while, that’s a good place. BUT, since I ordered a cup of cappuccino, it is definitely the worst coffee I’ve ever tasted, the bean is sour and bitter in its taste, I don’t understand how can a cappuccino be such bitter without blaming on its cheapest beans. To be honest, even a freshman’s homemade coffee is better than it, and the cup is SUPER SMALL! I mean I spent $5 to order a medium cup, but actually got a mini size relative to the Starbucks (or any other branded coffee stores). Nevertheless, it’s Steveston….
Friendly staff, good single origin coffee.
Super cute spot with amazing drinks. I got the blue matcha latte with vanilla, mostly just tasted like a floral vanilla but the colour was so beautiful and striking that I was thrilled off the novelty of that alone.
Wonderful coffee shop with tasty hand brew coffee and bottle cold brews. I also like their coffee beans but the bean can a bit pricy.
Excellent choices and good coffee. Great service!
How do I express my disappointment? This place is not what it used to be. I had an Americano and butter croissant - both were fine, and I enjoyed it. But did I taste the paper cup? Absolutely. Is this the experience I came for? Absolutely not! They were strictly serving in paper and plastic. For an establishment who takes such care of their roasts, selling expensive coffee, this makes no sense to me.Their furniture is worn down and borderline gross. They have random pieces of furniture shoved into corners. What’s up with this folding chair and patio furniture? Some chairs were covered in tacky fabric that look like old bedsheets - Is this supposed to be hygienic?? Paintings on the walls were crooked, and in fact some not even hung… just sitting on a table. The experience was overshadowed by hoarder-like clutter. With how busy and chaotic it gets in there, I would take your business somewhere else. Where you can actually relax and enjoy the visit you’ve paid for.
