Is a good place for hk style steak and dinner. Price is fair and good service.
Good braised pork belly with preserved vegetables. The pork belly had a good ratio of fat to lean meat and the dish wasn't overly salty. Their baked tomato pork chop rice is good, as is their cream sauce baked rice. Their salmon fried rice is average and lacks flavour. The spam and egg sandwich was really good. The egg was a fried egg and not the scrambled egg that I was expecting but it was still tasty. The morning glory with beef was okay but the beef could have been more tender.
Overall very good chinese style cafe with great food and pricing. The only hard thing is getting a parking spot in that mall if you are going in the afternoon, as there are a couple of units having reserved parking space (paint shop/chinese cuisine restaurant/7-Eleven), so lunch hours is kind of challenging time to grab parking spot. This is not really their fault, but this is a limitation when you had a restaurant in a tiny open mall. But food-wise I doubt anyone will complain --- it does have the more expensive/high end type food selections if you are into those selections.Service is pretty good, never get any bad attitudes from the waitresses or manager.
I would say this is a higher quality Hong Kong Cafe restaurant. Their bun that came with the soup was super delicous. It was like a homemade sweet bun, soft and fluffy, like those Chinese bakery savory buns only with no filling. The soup tasted very flavourful and was not too salty and veggie rich. The ox tail in wine sauce with garlic veggies and spaghetti was DELISH. The ox tail was very tender and disintegrates with your fork poking it since that's how soft and tender and buttery the meat is.The only downside was my almond tea was too watered down... Like not enough almond powder mix that it basically tasted like water with faint almond flavoring. Otherwise, a good place for a standard nice dinner.
I've always enjoy this restaurant since was call Bohemia. Friendly staff a.d very good food. Perfect cup of HK style mk tea every visit !
Been coming here on and off since the Bauhimia/Bauhinia days at the original location. I can only speak for the western dishes which consistently offer great flavours and good value for one of the better "HK cafes" around. The photos are one of the specials on the set NYE menu: duck wellington which was delicious (if you like beef wellington). Seafood salad was good and chowder was ok as starters.
Great restaurant! ? Best steak EVER! I've been eating at this restaurant my whole life lol ? Also has a kids meal I think. I love this restaurant, one of my favorites ? ? I'm getting hungry just writing this review lmao ? I come to this restaurant REALLY often like 2-5 times a week. There's a 7 eleven close by too so I can visit there too! The employees are really nice! ? if you haven't been at this restaurant, your definitely missing out! Lmao?
Classic Hong Kong style bistro focused on "western" plates such as steak and rice, pan fried chicken or seafoods in sauces, or baked rice/spaghetti with creamy sauces. They also serve Cantonese classic fried noodles and rice dishes. Good HK style coffee and teas as well. Flavors are on the mild side and overall quality is good.
Excellent option for HK cafe meals. Tasty food and above average level of service compare to others.
I've never been to this restaurant before.Google maps always asks me everytime I stop in at 711 for coffee and snacks next door.It looks like a very nice and clean restaurant with a delicious menu:)
