BUBBLE TEA BEWARE!Salad rolls and soup were tasty. However... the "fresh mango bubble tea" was an AWFUL disappointment. The drink was sour (but also sickly fake sweet, if that makes sense) and did not taste like fresh fruit. The "pearls" were one big clump that I could not separate with shaking or mixing with a spoon (see photo). They were crunchy- more like coconut jelly or squid. When I phoned to ask for a refund, the man was rude before passing me over to a woman. The woman apologized but said she would not refund me because I ordered from UberEats and they wouldn't get any money back. I said I paid $16 plus tax & tip for two of these drinks that were the worst bubble tea I have ever had. We couldn't finish it and now my stomach feels gross. I was told their pearls are not tapioca like regular bubble tea, and that I should just shake the pearls and they would separate (I already tried that and it didn't work). I asked her what she thought I should do, and she said contact Uber Eats (even though she knows I won't get a refund from them). Clearly this business is not interested in listening or satisfying customers when they have a legitimate concern, so I will take my business elsewhere.
The price of most dishes has increased since the last time we were there. I ordered rare beef pho and I find the soup way too tasty and sweet. I am not so sure if it is the MSG or sugar that were added to the soup stock. I love how the soup was boiling hot though when served.
Service is so bad it only deserves 0 star. I know everyone is having a hard time during this period but don’t show it. We are still “customer”. We didn’t order a lot since we are not that hungry. We just somehow crave for a bowl of Pho. The server was okay in the beginning. When she saw we didn’t order a lot, her attitude had a 180 turn. It’s like just eat your pho and begone. Definitely won’t be coming back again.
I was supposed to visit John 3.16 next door but was turned down by the crowd and the line up, even at 8:45pm on a Monday. An Nam has been my regular for the last few years. The menu has no surprises as most of the items are very standard Vietnamese food in Canada. The waitresses have always been attentive and good mannered. Eat, pay and leave, I had want I wanted. Always no complaint. They did check my vaccine proof as I entered.
This is 9.50$ you can get from here, it overcooked, and yes, I can't eat. I ordered from Uber eats and the rest is fine. You guys should have respect for the food you cook, for the customer. A little disappointed for the first time.
V chill I can show up in pajama and no one cares. Food is good not like wow but enough to satisfy craving more of a nostalgic place for me since I grew up eating their pho.
an’t eat pork so we were confused 2. They both tasted off to us. We waved down a female server and addressed the issue to her. She was so rude and began to tell us we just wanted a free meal. After me telling her about 4 times that I just don’t want the spring rolls and that I’ll pay she finally went to the back to let the kitchen know. But she was literally yelling and I can hear her from the floor. It was embarrassing as hell also being the only Two in the restaurant that didn’t look the same and everyone staring at us. Anyways long story short, she was the most UNPROFESSIONAL server I’ve ever met. I was honestly so embarrassed and I’m not the type to send food back ever but the spring rolls were so bad I had to say something and she didn’t make it any better. I use to come here all the time with friends but after this experience I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you want to get yelled at by a “server” or whatever you’d call her. Definitely won’t be getting our money anymore.
Service was mediocre but the food was quite good and reasonably priced. The Pho and chicken curry are definitely buys, but it's fairly standard generic Vietnamese food though so don't expect the world.
This restaurant is very delicious big portions for a small price. This restaurant has a variety of options.Would go again10/10
We’ve been coming here for quite some time now, average 2-3 times a month. Always order the same meal - lemon grass chicken and rice. Food tastes good, but every time we go we notice that the portion just keeps getting smaller and smaller. From 1.5 racks of chicken, down to 1, and now it’s not even one full rack. They even downsized the rice that comes with it as well…It was our go to restaurant, but now we will be looking for other options as their portion is just getting way too small.
