Chinese sushi chefs slice out big portions of fresh fish, that's always a good thing to me. The thing you should watch out for is fish bones, probably a one off incident but be careful.Friendly and fast service, and reasonably priced menu. Always great to see options of bento boxes available for dinner as many Japanese restaurants are doing away with them, in my recent experience.Overall a pleasant, nice, and casual dining experience.

The maki rolls we ordered was - tamago, dynamite, california and spicy tuna roll. The food was very bland and the rice was very dry. The ingredients didn't taste fresh. And definitely not worth the price.

Nice place with Japanese style cuisine. A nice variety of dishes. I had the Bento box C with sushi and tempura. Food was tasty and not too expensive either. Recommended.

The Latenight menu is really of good value. The restaurant was still crowded but only waited for about 10 minutes before getting seat(i went there alone). The salmon/Toro sashimi was awesome. Will definately come back again.

Had a friend talk up a BIG game for this place so we had to come check out the late night special.Pro - Everything was fresh and hotPro - Prices are good (the late night prices at least)Mid - Taste is mediocreMid - Katsu was hot, but the taste could use some workMid - Karaage was hot but it tasted more like Churches than KaarageMid - Tofu, again it was hot but the flavour was midMid - Sushi is passable but for late night/AYCE I've had better for the same price (granted I have no clue if those places are still in business after covid)Bad - Vegetable tempura is huge, the batter to vegetable ratio is way off. I don't know why the decision to prepare it like that was made but I would avoid it entirelyBad - Sashimi was too thick, just give me the same amount in thinner slices. Didn’t taste great and it was also the first time I had a bunch of connective tissue in my sashimi.TLDR its pretty mediocre, I think theres a certain bar that makes it worth it to eat out and this doesn’t quite reach that for me. If you just want something cheap/a big meal, or have forgiving taste buds I’m sure it would do fine as long as your expectations aren’t too high.

The good old stomping ground. Late night sushi at 9pm at a steep discount but the quality is still up there. In fact, 10 years ago the food still taste just as expected. Even some of the staff working there are still the same. What a legendary place, withstanding the test of time and pandemic.

We thought on average Japnaese restaurants in Richmond must be good enough to compete in this city. We were wrong. We came here for dinner and expected a quality meal as we saw the restaurant was almost full. We ordered the bento box and tempura/chicken hot plate. Other than the tempura was somewhat acceptable, everything else was below expectations. The chicken was too salty and had little flavours. The sashimi was totally off the target. It was not fresh and tasted like it was a couple of days old. Although the dishes were fairly priced the food quality must be improved. Service was not the best. The male server was not friendly at all. He just quickly took our order. He did not want to say anything or smile. When he used a sprayer to clean the table next to us, he over-sprayed beyond the table surface and wetted my wife's legs. She jumped and starred at him. He just turned away and ignored us. There were some better reviews from others. However, the quality is certainly inconsistent and the service must be improved.

Their late night specials (9pm) are decent. Nothing fancy. Nothing that causes you to go WOW. I find their late night special pricing is reflective of the quality of food. If you're hungry and want some filling food then this is the place for you. Be warn that parking can be brutal and the restaurant does get busy for their late night specials.

Food is ok. Service is not warm or inviting. Seemed like we were bothering them..forgot a dish we ordered. The young men who tidy up the place are nice enough though

We went with friends for the first time to this restaurant in Richmond! The ambiance was great, the staff was polite, the diversity of choices were huge, the hot plates which are must coveted by us were excellent! Piping hot iron plates serving delicious dishes! A pity they only open for dinner! I would like to go for lunch!
