Ordered the mango sago with coconut milk, and it was $16.75 for this. I asked if it was even my drink I ordered cause I see like 2 mango chunks. There’s hardly any in there. Biggest rip off ever
Paid $20 for their dessert here, definitely understand the price since it’s mangoes from the Philippines. However, it just was not sweet enough, definitely needed more condensed milk and then maybe the price with be justifiable. Better dessert places out there
Ordered a mango cake for almost $19 and got a ‘smaller than a palm’ size of a cake with dried pancakes and not fresh whip cream. According to the owner, ‘mangos from Philippines’ makes that cake so expensive and no need to put a size of the cake on the menu because ‘they have many customers and they all know the sizes’. You gotta feel sorry if you are a first time visitor.
We paid 170$ for 8 inch cake but quality poor , mango too sour cake not good like before .
I had high hopes for this place. Tried the $14 banana waffle and it arrived with 2 Eggo waffles, less than one scoop of ice cream (not gelato) and less than one banana. Easily could have made it at home for less than $5. Tried the $18 mango shaved ice and ordered double portion of mochi (beware, each order of mochi comes with 8 pieces). Balked at the orders when they arrived. Waste of money.
This place is a great family owned business. Their mango are delicious, but at a premium price. We ordered the shaved ice, and the hot coconut milk with sago mango mochi. The shaved ice was probably my favourite, portion was larger than expected and I felt that instead of typical condensed milk, they put mango juice to add the sweetness. This gave the ice great flavour, the mango poppers added some texture and who doesn’t like mango ice cream. They also had fresh mango chunks in there as I believe that’s their specialty. This is a shareable portion in my opinion, and it’s a mango lovers dream - it’s very mango strong. Perfect sweetness and it’s mango done in a variety of ways.As for the hot coconut milk with sago mango Mochi, you can tell the ingredients used are very simple. The dessert had a strong coconut milk flavoured base, didn’t seem diluted and wasn’t too sweet - it gave me a healthier vibe. The mango did add sweetness, along with the sago, but maybe if the mochi was sweeter it would’ve helped. I’m sure you could ask for a bit of syrup to do the trick, but it depends on how sweet you like your dessert. This is a good choice for someone who likes simple desserts that aren’t too sweet - that’s my preference! If you’re craving mango, this is definitely the one stop shop for you. They have mango in so many different ways and are actuslly most known for their mango cakes, which are so good! I’ve ordered a few in the past!
I got the A2, which is the mango sago with coconut milk. Thank god I only order the small size, 2/3 of the whole bowl was filled with diluted coconut milk. The mango itself only had less than 10 small pieces. 14 dollar for this quality and quantity is just unreasonable. The whole bowl seemed super empty, and it really is not just worth it. I’d rather get my own mango and coconut, and could possibly get myself 4 full bowl of the same thing. DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND!
Service was slow even though we were the only people in there. Staff would rather talk to eachother than serve us. My dessert came out luke warm even though it was supposed to be cold.
I am not 100% sure it was a staff or owner. The lady spoke Mandarin to me and I told her that I don't speak Mandarin and asked to speak English. She kept speaking Mandarin til the end. Before we made the order, I asked if 2 dishes are enough for us (6 people). She ignored it and just double checked the menu and went to the kitchen. When we paid, I asked her to split our bill and she insisted to pay together because we ordered only two dishes (It was also not English, but she kept saying only two, two...)Definitely appropriate customer service and manner required.
The desert is not good. Overpriced. I definitely not going again.
