Great place for lunch! I always stop by when I'm in the area and get take-out from here at least twice a month. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the ingredients. Especially considering a salad with some protein easily cost $22 these days from any restaurant. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is extremely clean as well, which makes me feel comfortable eating here knowing they diligently clean all the surfaces. 10/10!
We ordered dumping, fry bun, rice dish, beef roll, non of them called tasty, and all use paper plates, plastics, we were there dine in, not for take out! They put one temperature detector on the entrance, which is good, so, why can't they use proper plates for dine in customer⁈Plus, I've never had beef roll with no sauce apply inside⁈ No water supply? Don't say the paper plates and utensil are good for environment, ( single use container if it's paper made, yes it can be degradable, but how many tree have to be cut down to make the papers⁇also restaurant use plastic container for rice dish for dine in, single use? If not, how you do with plastics ⁇) if take out you may have no choice, but dine in ⁇ I just can't believe this, run a restaurant must have a dishwasher, should be enough for cleaning the dishes for dine in customer, if reuse the utensil will cause the disease, it means your dishwasher not qualified‼I think good reviews mostly from years ago, but even inflation, bad corp,etc..the flavour of food shouldn't change‼We still go several restaurants to dine in to support them， they all doing hard to hold their business, price went up, acceptable, reduce food volume acceptable, but don't use proper ingredients and don't care food flavour, quality, presentation, that's not respect to the customer.Sorry ‼ I give a bad comment, but restaurant want to continue for long term need to hear this, restaurant may have in a good location (in the light industrial business area, no other comparison) but if restaurant keep like this eventually will be closed. Hope it can be improved!
Used to be okay (nothing more in the past). We dined in. They use paper plates, plastic bowls and plastic utensils. Really cheap presentation. You want water? They charge you now for tap water! In the past, they had pitchers of tap water that you brought to your table at no charge. I guess the charge is to clean the glass/cup. It was embarrassing to dine in these conditions.The portions on the paper plates were smaller than the past.But, they spent money on the heat-reading machine that scans your temperature automatically as you walk in. It is like going through the security scanner at an airport. Yes, COVID safety, but not one other restaurant in Richmond has this machine, nor do they use paper plates.My feeling is there must have been a change in ownership, and the new owners are cheap. The prices are NOT cheap though.We won't be going back. They graduated.
Not sure what they were thinking making Dan Dan noodles into a thin watery tasteless soup?? This meal left us very disappointed. The only thing that was remotely worth our money was the Singapore noodles. They couldn’t even do the beef dumplings well. Green onion cakes were tasteless - they skimped out on the green onion. If we were dining in, we would have returned the disgusting Dan Dan noodles to the kitchen. The service was subpar as well. Please avoid this restaurant.
Xiao long BAO and Shanghai pan fried dumplings is probably one of the best I had. Very reasonable price as well. We also got the Shanghai pan fried noodles and it was really good. Take out only right now so place your online orders and come pick it up. It's a little hard to find but not too bad
All around 5-star experience! First off, the food here is amazing, the XLB and the fried dumplings especially! On top of that the woman who took my order was super friendly and had such an amazing personality. I look forward to this being my new regular spot!!!Thank you to the entire staff at Mama’s for a great meal!
Take out only.Used to think they had the best pan fried soup dumplings, not anymore. Top Shanghai is definitely better.Still, pretty good.

Food really delicious! Although its location isn't very recognizable, its super worth it to try their food if you love Chinese food.
I was very happy!!! The pork kimchi dumplings are on point. I have the cucumber salad, Dan Dan noodles and Kung POW chicken.
