Not sure why this restaurant got bad ratings for service but everything was good and smooth when we ate there. The polo bun was undisputedly the best I have tried in my life: crunchy on the top and super soft and pilloy at the bottom. Their cheong fun (rice roll) was also very delicious and you can taste the aroma and freshness of the rice. Decent HK milk tea.

Certainly a place hk people go for the nostalgic charm. Expect delicious and yummy, yet greasy food with ok service.Conveniently located right by aberdeen centreThis place closes early so don’t expect to come here for dinner.

yummy bun and great brunch till noon

Pineapple bun is really good. Too much butter as you won’t feel too good after.

**This review is strictly for their pineapple bun as I have not tried their other food on the menu**\\n\\nIf you’re ever in Richmond, you MUST stop by this place and try their pineapple bun. It’s warm, fresh, and soft - like heavenly carby clouds blessing your mouth with every bite. The crust on top is perfection and not too sweet and buttery. The both times I was here, it was bustling with peeps. You will not regret this simple masterpiece!\\n\\nDisclaimer: I went during the morning time so I can’t speak for quality later in the afternoon or evening ?

Lido's egg tarts are the best!! the crust is light multi-layered with tasty egg custard fillings. most delicious egg tart. the pineapple bun with butter is also amazing. it is soft and hot from the oven. hong kong style milk tea with coffee is strong and smooth. note that it closes at 5pm. allow time to line up. must try. highly recommend.

BEST PINEAPPLE BUNS!! I also come here for the congee (make sure to request the chinese donut, its part of the price but will not come unless you request it) and macaroni soup w ham and egg. Cash only, service is ok, and if you cant speak/ read chinese you will need to bring a friend that does.

A Richmond institution for hk style breakfast. You have to try the pineapple bun with butter.I usually order the satay instant noodles with iced lemon tea and leave satisfied. There is always a wait and you have to put your name down on the list.

Love their FRESHLY baked pineapple buns with melted butter. Just sinking my teeth into the warm soft sweet bun and tasting subtle saltiness afterwards makes me overlook any “so call” poor service that other reviewers have been complaining. Seriously haven’t you watch Seinfeld episodes, “The Soup Nazi”!!! Sure their service was not the fastest and friendliness, but then again this is not typical Mc D’s or some Japanese restaurants. Lastly, while you are still biting that juicy bun, have a nice warm cup of HK style milk tea to complete your overall experience. Still hungry!!! Chow down a bowl of Satay beef instant noodles which isn’t half bad.

Food was good, a bit pricey as some other mentioned for what it is. I liked the satay noodle they got. HK small dinner, service was ok, not as bad as some ppl said. The menu is FULLY Chinese. If you don't read/speak Chinese, forget it.
