Restaurant opens at 10 am. We called and try to make a reservation. Our drive to restaurant is about 1 hour. During that time, we kept calling every 10 minutes. When we got there, waitress said the restaurant is completely full (on Monday!) and no waiting. We told waitress we have been calling with no answer. We drove 1 hour to get to the restaurant. Waitress was very rude. She said that even she answered the phone will be for tomorrow reservation. We said if you answer the phone ; we will know. Why don’t you answer the phone if you are in business.

I would pick Kirin as the best Dim Sam in greater Vancouver area including Richmond. Always full and always busy. We have had this for years. And we have not been able to get a table for 2 days because fully booked the whole day.Again, the place is mostly Cantonese speaking with Hong Kong style, straight and emotionless. You just have to get used to this. Hong Kongers don’t seem to give smiles or politeness to customers. They do make good food with quick in-and-out service style like in Hong Kong. No hard feelings if you feel hurt. That is just the way they are. This is a nice place for Dim Sam. Nowhere else is better, trust me. You should not miss this place.

Service was phenomenal! They were very attentive and made sure to change our plates often. Good wise I would say it's a little better than what I've had in the states but not that much better. The abalone sauce was a little on the salty side for me.

I notice all the staff here are very friendly. I like the fact that there are Telsa charging stations within walking distance of the restaurant. The quality of the food seems to be fresh and everything we had was tasty. My favorite was their house fried rice. A bit on the pricey side but the theme of the place seems to be an upscale Chinese restaurant( fine dining). The restaurant overall is clean, but the bathroom and hallway need some attention.I will likely dine here again if I happen to charge my car in this area.

Apparently getting a reservation is a good idea... Even on a Thursday morning at 10 am lol. There was a huge crowd of people waiting to get in. They all seemed like locals as well. That said we got lucky and were seated, and boy was it delicious! Loved everything!

Absolutely one of the best dim sum places in Richmond. A little bit pricier than most but definitely still affordable. Make sure to make a reservation and try out the egg tart!Loved the softness of their steamed short ribs and their beef rice roll.

I have been coming to Kirin restaurant ever since I was a child and I am never ever disappointed by their dim sum.Their ingredients are always the freshest and are so tasty and flavourful. I would highly recommend their shrimp dumplings as they are so succulent and the dumpling wrap itself is not too thick. As for desserts, their durian mochi and egg tarts are always a must-have and my family always makes sure to save a plate for the end.The service is always really attentive as well, always making sure to change the plates whenever they get too full.To anyone who's looking for some of the best dim sum in Metro Vancouver, I would highly recommend Kirin. Make sure to book a reservation as well as they are always busy!

Delicious food and great service. My only complaint was the price of one dish of pea tips which was delicious but waaaaaay overpriced. Plan to spend some money here but you will be happy with the food.

Avoid Sunday night. Toooo long wait for the dishes (>30mins) Taste fair not surprise, high price. And service depends, usually waitress are better than waiters. The fried milk & tofu worth a try ??
