tasty food, now its 15%off on main dishes, otherwise would be a bit pricey for what it is. pretty standard, the popcorn chicken with yam fries was very good.
We made a reservation at 18:45pm and arrived early witnessed a full house. The waitress forgot about our reservation and gave our table away.\\n\\nLuckily, the adjacent restaurant, YuTing, was also theirs, so we were transferred to there and we could still order food from Jianhu.\\n\\nMinced fork, dragon balls, ginger duck pot, Taiwanese style cabbage were among the dishes we ordered.\\n\\nPretty decent and authentic Taiwanese cuisine.\\n\\nThey do not take Amex unfortunately.
We arrived without a reservation and were seated immediately - 7 of us, mid-week. Waitress was very helpful with the hot pot menu and our questions. The sesame oil chicken broth was excellent and the slight under-seasoning allowed us to customize our bowls with the great condiments. The sides of Taiwanese sausage, Hakka style pork belly and popcorn chicken were all very good. The hot pot worked well for our sized group and we ate until we couldn't eat anymore! It was a pretty good deal at under $200 including a bottle of sake, a couple bottles of beer and tip
Had my daughter's birthday here. Food was average but the staff didn't seem like they had much experience in the hospitality industry. Worse part was when we left a few specialty party favors behind,(self standing doggie balloon) we called back within the hour and they said they have already popped and thrown the trash. My number was available to them and feel like they could of waited just a little longer before trashing everything. My kid was so disappointed.
I don’t normally write bad reviews, but this one was pretty bad. I ordered a marinated chicken leg with marinated pork sauce aka “lu rou zhi”. The chicken leg was plain, not terrible but lacked flavour and the meat was a quite dry. The meat sauce was pretty much just cold, I picked up my take out 10 min later than designated time (due to accident in the area) but I don’t believe it should be that cold. Lastly there’s a long hair strand embedded into the rice and that was probably the last straw for me.\\n\\n*Edit I’ve been contacted by the management since the posting and they’ve apologized and was sincere about accepting the mistake and making commitment to rectify. I appreciate the prompt attitude and will not shy away from going back in the future.
One of the best Taiwanese cuisine in town. The deep fried oysters side dishes and salty egg yolk fried rice with shrimps are the must try. Lots of varieties of food to choose from for hotpot. Price is decent and suit for family gathering with two big 10 ppl tables. Highly recommended.
If I could give zero star I would, lol ordered 3 dishes, none of them taste as it should, stir fried cabbage, a few leave seems like it's the whole leave without cutting into smaller pieces, asked the server and she couldn't careless lol, pork intestine salty like they used triple the amount of salt into it, and last one deep fried taro, waited until all the food was done and they still couldnt make it. Sigh ? do not come here if you wish to have an enjoyable time. Bad food, bad service and location is the only good thing about it.
Enjoyed a great dinner with Taiwanese sausage, seasonal vegetables and chili chicken. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Kitchen service is slow but quality is there
Me and my daughter came for vegetarian food. Each dish was tasty and came quickly. Their chairs were very comfortable and their service was topnotch.
This place takes me back home with authentic Taiwanese flavours beyond your typical salt n pepper chicken. That said, their sp chicken is hands down the most authentic - the seasoning has a hint of plum powder and gives it street cred. The deep fried oysters? are juicy and better than other restos. The typhoon ? will take you to flavour country and is a must. Their lobster sticky ? (aka oil rice) full of? au jus is drool worthy. Is it pricy? Yes the seafood can be, but you get what you pay for. Don’t look for cheap eats here, instead, expect authentic flavours and to pay fairly for it. Been here for dine-in twice post pandemic lockdowns and quality has been top notch both times, with fab service to match. Don’t hesitate, go eeeeet!!!
