J Squared Ice Cream - a lovely place for asian inspired ice creamBlack Sesame 8.5/10 you can taste the flavour! the flavour is rich and goes well as ice cream it’s a bit gritty so it can get caught at the back of your throatvietnamese coffee 8/10 very strong coffee flavour and i personally prefer sweeter flavours. it’s very creamy and melts on your tonguethai milk tea 7.5/10 the flavour wasn’t as strong as i would have liked. it was pretty mild and the bits of tea leaves added texture to the flavourdirty oreo 9/10 this surprised me as the ice cream is smooth with chunks of cookie. the oreos is blended well with the rich base. it’s different from a mcflurry because the chocolate is incorporated into the ice cream so well!shanghai fog is a personal 10/10! the jasmine milk tea goes so well as ice cream and it’s a smooth mild experience! it isn’t super heavy and i could easily have a whole pint!pandan 8/10 - it was refreshing in the same way as mint but had a mild flavour. it’s interesting and i would recommend it if you like sorbet this would be great on a hot summer day to cool downnot pictured i vaguely remember the roasted oolong milk tea being great too! 8.5/10 i think i prefer the lighter tea flavour of jasmine. it had great flavour and you could really taste the roasted oolong tea. you would like this if you enjoy chatime’s roasted milk tea!wish there was indoor sitting and more permanent flavours
Tried their shanghai fog and thai ice tea. Both were delicious but the shanghai fog blew our minds. It was so fragrant!! Ive had lots of tea flavoured ice cream before but this is one of the best. Will def be back to try other flavours.Edit: Tried the roasted oolong and sesame. The roasted oolong was a family favourite -- it is more subtle than the very strong shanghai fog but very delicious and complex all the same. The sesame is also good. It has a very rich and nutty flavour (might not be your cup of tea). The only thing I didn't love was that some of the ice creams are on the gritty side (thai iced tea, black sesame) due to the tea leaves and sesame seeds. I think I still prefer the slightly smoother ones (roasted oolong/shanghai fog) but overall they are all still very delicious, and it is probably a good thing that the different ice creams are all so distinct in both flavour and texture.
?SHANGHAI FOG?WHISK HOJICHA?TAIWAN PINEAPPLE CAKE?JAPANESE BLACK SESAMELOVE THE TWO TEA FLAVOURSCREAMY AND NOT TOO SWEET☺️Black sesame is good as well!!! I can eat the black sesame in it, rich nutty tastePersonally don’t like the pineapple cake one, although I am a big lover for pineapple pastries. (But my friend love this one among all)
Delicious ice cream! Loved the unique flavours. We happily tried Teaffee, lucky charms, sesams, thai milk tea, taiwanese pineapple cake and malted milk chocolate. You can tell it’s good quality ice cream and I will definitely recommend this place go those looking for a new ice cream spot.Note that they don’t have any seating as it’s a small shop, but worth the visit!
One of my favourite spots for ice cream in the Lower Mainland. Love the Asian inspired flavours - black sesame was super fragrant, also enjoyed their Thai Tea flavour but ultimately Roasted Oolong Milk Tea was my personal favourite.Prices on par with other spots but parking availability is better due to being in a plaza!
My go to ice cream place. Only flaw is that it’s super far from me?. Love their Shang hair fog flavor!!!! Coz my favorite bubble tea flavor is the green milk tea and their ice cream taste exactly like it. Would definitely anyone who likes green milk tea to give it a try
Love their unique flavours especially the monthly specials. Generous portions. My favourite go to ice cream place!
Yesterday, I went to this Ice cream store with my friend. I noticed they had some new tastes. I gave a try for London Fog. Honestly, it's not too sweet and had a little bit milk taste inside.
Their tea flavoured ice cream was the bomb when they first opened. Now that it’s been over a year ( I think), their flavour isn’t as flavourful as before. But I still like coming here for their tea flavoured ice cream. The scoops are huge, I always struggle finishing one scoop waffle cone..
Their roasted oolong ice cream is fantastic. It's almost like drinking tea when you eat the ice cream. You might ask why don't you just drink the tea then. To that I have no rebuttal.
