Had a really nice experience after they changed their format to ordering chicken and the pot base separately. Their desserts were all free and tasty. Service was friendly. The price was a bit steep but the food was good.
Recently renovated and looks even nicer than before (although it was pretty nice before already). The chicken soup with fish maw is a must from this place. The sauce bar includes appy and unlimited dessert, which enhances the experience. A bit more on the pricey side. Servers were friendly and professional.
The broth is really rich and flavorful (do include the add-ons). The service is exceptional and the restaurant's interior is pretty. There's two different desserts and they're all you can eat, my favorite is the mango sago (the grapefruit bits are a nice touch).I could've done without the chicken, I don't think the chicken adds much to the hot pot experience.Overall I think this place is definitely worth a try but it's a bit spendy and not too different from other hot pot experiences other than the broth.
Nice food, specially the soup.
The chicken soup is the best, feel like I can eat everyday? their staffs are friendly and the restaurant have huge space, so you won't get Covid lolll. Honestly the perfect meal after a long day work or snow activity, it's warm and thick, nutritious too.
The chicken and fish maw broth was out of this world. I still have cravings for it. Come hungry because the full size hot pot is quite large with a whole chicken added. Service was good and there was even a cute robot server whizzing around delivering plates of food.
Today was the first day of snow in Vancouver so chicken hotpot is the best dinner option! I had to take off my sweater because the broth warmed me up real good! Fish maw and chicken are the best combo and it has health benefits according to Chinese medicine. We came right around opening at 5pm so the place was empty. Service was very prompt. The chicken hotpot broth was so good. The only downside I could think of is that you need to keep skimming the top layer of excess fat and scum away. They have a self serve dipping sauce bar on the left and appetizers (kimchi and radish) and fruit (orange) and dessert (brown sugar jello) on the right. Strongly recommend during winter times. Not so much in the summer.
A unique chicken-stock hotpot with great tasting soup but not much else to set itself apart from the competition. If the review was helpful, please follow and/or like for more!Service: (5/5)Service was spot on at this location. Drinks were refilled promptly and plates replaced regularly. We even had someone drop by a few times to scope out the soup scum.Food: (3/5)We used a groupon meal set for the visit, and it was overall pretty satisfactory. The highlight of the meal was the chicken soup. They boil the soup stock first in a giant pot then dump pieces of chicken meat in. After the soup is ready, they'll place some into your bowl with some elastic innards that I'm not familiar with. The rest of the meal was pretty standard as the chicken soup isn't great for pairing with things such as beef/pork. There's a sauce and side-dish station in the center to get things ranging from kimchi to edamame from.COVID: (4/5)They checked for vaccine passports and IDs. Tables were sufficiently spaced out into booths (although restaurant wasn't really packed) and servers all wore full PPE's.
Seriously the best chicken hot pot in town. After trying the fish maw chicken hot pot for the first time a few weeks ago, my husband and I have been ordering this every week. They give you a generous amount of soup and the hot pot ingredients are all super fresh!
Chicken soup is pretty good. Other stuff is just average.
