Really good BBQ Skewers. Got our self theBeef kebabs(minimum order of 10)Spicy chicken wings (minimum of 2)Chicken skin kebab (minimum order of 2)(highly recommend)BBQ Oysters (minimum order of 2)Came here from an family friend recommendation. And I agree with everything they had to say specially with the chicken skin kebabs. Being so rich and crunchy from being deep fried or bbq then seasoned. The only thing you have to minimum orders of each kebab depending on the order.
Happy Tree BBQ4 skewers and 1 small noodle was around $60 without tip or tax so definitely a bit of a splurgeskewers ranking1. pork intestine (10/10) - super crispy and crunchy without being tough or hard2. special lamb skewers (10/10) the lamb was super juicy and tender! the seasoning was had cumin without being too over seasoned3. special spicy lamb skewers (9/10) a lil too spicy for my liking but the lamb was tender and had good chili seasoning4. chicken gizzard skewers (4/10) very tough and was very chewy to the point of being a lil rubbery. i think it was over cooked and won’t get againmungbean chili pasta (9/10) very refreshing with the cilantro but it wasn’t chopped up very fine so lots of long strands. noodles are cold and refreshing and very slippery. there was a lil bit of heat with the chili but nothing too spicy
This place is good. We ordered so many skewers it was hard to tell which one is which, lol For the ones that I tried, it was pretty good.
This spot is a fun place to visit with friends if you crave traditional Chinese skewers. The menu is packed with a wide variety of BBQ skewers and traditional Chinese dishes. If you wish to try a lot of their dishes and drink alcohol, it may be more fun to visit with several friends as the atmosphere is perfect for socializing and just enjoying yourselves over good food and drinks. They also offer some Chinese non-alcoholic drinks for visitors who wish to remain sober and still try special drinks. The most surprising dish was the fried tofu, as it was flavorful itself and came with a sauce that made it the most talked about dish of the night for our group. Thank you to the chefs that endured through the clearly hot kitchen area to cook the delicious skewers!
Great skewers place, much better than the last time I went. Will definitely come back more often! The frog legs are also to die for
It was my first time here with two other couples. Seating was a bit tight but this is usually normal for Asian casual drinks plus dining restaurants. Overall I really enjoyed the food but the drink selection was mediocre for me. The beef and lamb skewers are definitely worth ordering. They did not have any specialty drinks or lighter cocktails. So if you are okay with soju, sake or beer then it is worth checking out! Prices are fair for what you get here. ?
Great place for late night since it opens until 2am!
Overall experience is alright. Food eventually tasted the same, especially for any meat, because of the powder they sprinkled on top. They do offer spicy fish and lamb noodle soup on sides, a lot of choices of drinks.Environment definitely very noisy, with loud music and people trying to talk over the music. Service could be better, server wasn't too attentive to what we need. Parking was horrible, very hard to get a space.
Very mild spice level, sauces on the sweet side. The lamb skewer quality is average at best. Squid over cooked. All sauces the same too.
? Price: $50 pp (if you eat like a horse)?Taste: 4.5 / 5?Atmosphere: 3 /5 Seating: 3 / 5? Price Performance ratio: 4 / 5Retention Rate: 100%ℙ???:? seasoning's on point ??? cooked perfectly which yields some tender meat ??? cumin everything ?? service is fast? fish was cooked to perfection - flavourful and juicy. It has a bit of everything - tang, spicy and savory.? The fillet was soft and the skin was crispy? good portion for four or five pplℂ???:? parking is a pain there? minimum order for every type of skewers makes it difficult to go in pair. Must go with at least three friends with big appetites????? ????????:? a reliable source says that the best Chinese bbq restaurant here isn’t comparable to the ones in Toronto. Now I’m awfully curious. How do authentic Chinese bbq skewers taste like ?!?!
