I love trying new restaurants. So for my birthday I wanted to try Japanese bbq. I was not disappointed! We had a group of 4 ladies and we got the value course with a few extra sides and meat options. At first it didn't seem like much but by the end we were all full and happy :) Our server was very sweet. She explained how everything worked and how to cook each dish, since it was our first time there.I can't wait to go back, totally worth the journey from Abbotsford!
Worse worse worse service ever coming from the manager of the restaurant. Such and Assh.:…: . He decide to kick us out without acknowledging the 2 hours reservation. Bad worse service around Vancouver. My kids were crying because he came with such us actitud of fighting. Bs if this is the manager of the restaurant. Pay more than 500 and doesn’t matter,
Very good value and service.
AMAZING! The food is incredible and the service was great! Reasonable price too. Got the Yakiniku Party set that had enough food for 4 people. Every dish was delicious! Raymond was great. It was my first time here and he explained how everything worked. He was very nice and helpful. He made the dinner experience a great one. Thank you for a wonderful dinner! Cheers!
I think this bbq has high quality meats, from chicken/pork and seafood! Enjoyed the food! Our server Raymond was also very helpful and provided exceptional service for my first time here! I also like their beer cocktails! I thought that was different! They were very refreshing and a perfect beverage for the food! Will definitely be back!
Highlights of this Japanese BBQ place is the comfy leather couches you sit on while you dine on do it yourself grill meat. Meat quality was great and their butter corn, yakisoba, calimari, and smores at the end of the meal were super tasty. They even have a sakuratini float cocktail drink with lychee ice cream. A fun interactive dinner experience.
It’s our third time dining here, and every time we crave for bbq grill, we frequent this place as its quite nearby our home plus the food is great. The meat marinate is delicious especially for pork and chicken paired with their shredded cabbage with roasted garlic sides. Beef wise, just ok for me. I love how the taste of that burnt charcoal on the meat is incorporated. We also ordered for takoyaki, karaage , crispy bacon , shrimp with mayo for appetizer, but actually you can pair it with rice as main.Takoyaki is not cheap tasting, my wife loves the shrimp with mayo though I find it salty for me but it is really good. Karaage on the other hand is good though I wish it could have been crispier while the crispy bacon is just right ,you can dash a pinch of salt and lemon juice too for both .We also ordered for kids menu, similar to adult choices but in small portions. It comes with corn kernels , chicken and pork marinate for grill and green beans. Small portion but serves like an adult combo meal for a kid.As for dessert, we tried the smores, and matcha tiramisu. It’s cool that they will provide you skewers to roast the marshmallows and put it in the crackers with chocolate slices . The matcha , tiramisu is not too sweet, you can taste the “tea” in it which is not overpowering.Service wise, staff is courteous, customer service is fantastic. They will make dining experience with convenience and comfortThe best part is that I thought our order will come up to a hundred over dollars but surprisingly, its only $67 and that included the tax and tip.I gave 4 stars because of the long waiting time.with or without appointment.
Honestly, this has become my go to for Korean/Japanese BBQ. I Can't stop raving about how flavorful the meat is!! We ordered the chefs favorites for 2 people and we walked out full. The sauces add an extra kick of flavor to the already tasty food. I highly recommend this place. Service was exceptional as well. Very friendly and attentive to your needs.
First time I had gyukaku was in Japan, this one was just as good quality as the ones in Japan! Very good stuff love gyukaku, only one minor thing is the rice is not as good as the Japan ones but Rice in Japan is very good so not their fault on that. Overall very good stuff and fun place to eat.
I tried their other location on Broadway, that's why I am a bit disappointed about the Richmond one. The seats are not comfortable. Lighting too dark. Overall environment is not very enjoyable. Food is average but service is above average. Price is fair too. If you like Japanese grill, it could be a good choice.
