Very good deal together with extra discount on takeouts. Delicious foods, high quality of ingredients and skills of chefs. Very friendly and high efficiency front desk associates (captain, server, cashier and bus person). They packed the set meal in professional way without any hesitation on my takeout.Dine in also a good option, they have a nice setup and (very important) good practice of the hygiene protocol. Suggest to make reservation to secure your table to avoid waiting in front of the restaurant (although lots of space in the mall for waiting or spend some time on shopping). The photo of dishes already started (can't resist delicious foods ?)Father's Day No "Takeout" Discount.
Gingeri Chinese Restaurant has been operating decades and I had been dining with friends from time to time. The dishes provided here are quite authentic and have many honkongness frequent visitors. Since the restaurant is always busy in the rush hours, may need yo be patience to waiting for food be delivered.
Not having been to Gingeri since before COVID hit, my family and I decided to visit for some dim sum. Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't what it used to be. The staff is extremely unfriendly, between curt responses and tossing the paper menu onto the table without care. Furthermore, half of the utensils & dishware were visibly dirty. Even worse, sometimes you could feel the grime on the dishes as the texture would be rough. On the plus side, the food was decent. Nothing mind blowing. Not notably better nor worse than any other option in Richmond.Price-wise, Gingeri is more expensive than Empire if you don't get the early morning discount, but even with the discount, I'd prefer the service of Empire.

Another great place for Cantonese dim sum in Richmond. Dim sum is tasty and good quality. Prices are competitive. I ordered take out and it’s just as good as dine in. Plenty of parking available at Lansdowne Mall.
Ordered the crab plus 4 courses for $140. Had to ask for this special set menu. Felt like they didn’t want people to order it cause it was one of cheaper set menu they had. Food was not bad, portions were quite big and service was adequate. An average Chinese restaurant in Richmond.
Usually I do not agree with take out. It will not taste the same compare to dining in. We order dinner for six for pick up and amazingly it was very good !
Had some dim sum and a noodle dish here and really enjoyed it. The food quality was good as was the service. It’s a much larger place than it looks from the outside so don’t be daunted by the line up.
The food is impeccable. Period. More importantly, the high ceiling and the partitioning between tables make it an ideal dining place under the pandemic circumstances.
Conveniently located in the Lansdowne Mall. Dim Sum is very tasty, only the Char Siu bun was disappointed, the meat itself was not fresh. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable lunch.
