This review is about their dinner.Good quality but for this price expected a bit better. Not all dishes were great. The tofu skin side dish 素烧鹅 was especially bad. The steamed scabbard 黑鱼 was good but 40$ for three pieces of fish. Would recommend the beef and mushroom though, was our favourite.Desserts were bad. Tried the osmanthus jelly and taro tapioca pudding. Do not recommend.Nice environment and ok service (not rude). Need reservation as it fills up very quickly.

They recently changed their pork with century egg congee and added veggies. It's no longer $6 but is now full price. I think it's still good cuz they got rid off the ginger which is very unpleasant for me to be eating. Truffle chicken is clearly not fresh from the pan but I believe from the fridge. It was $17 and parts of the chicken provided to us wasn't right. It was definitely a quarter cuz they didn't give us the full size of the drumstick. Sesame egg yolk is really good, i did not find this dessert in other dim sum place yet.

LIES! After giving a deposit for a wedding they said if covid is still happening we can cancel the wedding and use the deposit for food as a credit. This has to happen before 30 days of the wedding. When asking for the deposit to use for food because covid is not over they said you have to use ALL the money before the wedding date. This is bad service. And wtf? You already have the money and a food credit should be up to us how we want to spend it. Who is going to use $2000 in a month simply just having dinner for 2 people. This is robbery.

Ordered take out from here and dine in couple of times before, overall it's bit pricey compare to others, but quality is great.Ordered green beans, steam pork ribs and steam chicken sticky rice, and this tart in the pic. Always love the tart or any crispy pastry from this restaurant, perfect crisps!Only thing is that service Isn't so good, hope that can be improved.

The food was good but the service was terrible. the waiters ignore you even after you have caught their eye. Trying to get the children 2 glasses of water was nearly impossible. It seems if you are not ethic Chinese you don't count. we had better service in Beijing in June 1989

Average food, above average price, clean and nice interior, city view with skytrain is actually not bad. Service is subpar, these food runners clearly don’t have desire to work, just drop the plate and go, seems a bit rude to me.

Our family went to go and pickup food; however, we were barely acknowledged despite our food being ready.

This is my husband and my 2nd lunch at Empire. Our first experience last time ( prior to Covid ) was very good. We decided to go back. My husband's favorite was Deep Fried Shrimp Rolls. We love their Sui Mai and Beancurd Wrap with Abalone Sauce and Pan Seared Egg Plant with Shrimp Paste. But Pan Fried Pork Buns was so so, it didn't have crispy bottom like authetic Shanghainese restaurant, Deep Fried Bean Curd can be cut into smaller cubes so it is crispy. I am very disappointed with their Stir Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Beef and Black Bean Sauce, the rice noodle was not stir fried so all stick to each other. Two of us spent CA$100 including tips. Overall it is not bad.

Typical chinese restaurant, with busy environtment but the ambience was still good. Decent service and the dimsums were so yummy! The only thing is the soft shell crab was way too salty! you have to eat with plain rice to cover up the saltiness.

Tried their dinner many times before COVID. This time coming for Yum Cha with my friends, and we are all totally satisfied with our meal with all these delicious food!
