At first the portion appeared to be humongous for a $13 meal. But plenty of the meat are mostly bones and the deep fried fish caused a sore throat after eating just one piece.Good for people who just want to fill their belly, but not for those who seek decent meal.I'll still give them 3 stars for the value.
I don't normally order here when I go to this ffod court. I went here because my go to whole black bean crab was sold out. I ordered here who had black bean crab as well. Wasn't as good as my go to and charged 16.00 which was 4.00 more than my go to. I like part of the crab a bit crisper at the ends when cooked. Won't return. Haven't ordered the other dishes but they were a Available at my got to.
Such a large assortment that it's tricky to choose. The pricing is hard to beat, considering the serving size was so unexpectedly large. The food was tasty. They only accept cash.It was 13$ for three toppings, you can choose rice or noodles, I even shared the food with one other person. I still have left overs for dinner. How can I complain?

Huge portions for a great price. I enjoyed the eggplant dish and deep fried fish filet. Definitely will come back again.
Captain Wa is definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area. The deep fried squid absolutely excellent. My favourite is the crab - they will cook it anyways you want! The food is great and it’s at an unbeatable price - you definitely get your money’s worth!
Assortment was great. Hard to choose since all dishes looked delicious.Price is very affordable since they serve big servings.$12 was enough for me,my wife, and son.
AMAZING FOOD, PRICE, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! They packed SO much food into the big container that the container almost couldn’t close. They also had to pack more food in an extra bag. All just for $12!! And the food was fresh and delicious.
This place is great. Pretty good selection and the owners are generous and friendly, albeit a bit busy serving customers. I felt bad about all the customers coming here and the place across from them not getting business, so I tried them out and found the food to be less in taste and quantity. So I'm back at Captain Wa because I need my fix. Fried fish and squid are delicious.
The eateries in Richmond public market is the rock bottom value - or best value - one could get in GVRD, period.I've been here for decades now and I eat at the public market quite regularly and many of the eateries here are top notch, best bang for your buck and the foods are all fresh.
