Impressed! Wow!!! Not only is the food here presented beautifully, but it's tastes so fresh, real, satisfying, and warm :).The fried chicken was juicy, crisp on the outside, and not too salty in a good way. It worked so well with maple syrup on the waffle. Sweet and salty perfection and the chicken thighs were deboned too so it was easy to eat.The orzo paella also tasted like spaghetti o's so it was kinda of nostalgic and it comes with the Cutest little yogurt parfait with a mint leaf.Goods portions. French toast is unique in that its less eggy and buttery here but the bread is nice dense and thick. Like a less heavy French toast.I like the ambiance here too. Quite cozy.

Miscommunication amongst staff and Boss as depending on the day they seem to take contact info for a waitlist. We got there at 11am and were told they didn't have any seats available which was fine with us and were told to come back in about 20mins, when we said we'd leave a name and number the staff said they don't have a waitlist when there was a booklet on the side clearly with names and numbers scribbled on it... seemed weird to us but we left it. When we circled back 20 mins after looking at some nearby shops, there was a new staff who once again told us that they were full and it'd be a 30min wait and was now taking names and numbers for a waitlist!! This was now a but frustrating as it was our first time and were told there were 2 groups ahead of us on the waitlist. The staff told us that it was the Boss who decides when to start the waitlist and that we should have initially told the first staff member to take our name and number down... and then proceeded to say that we can leave our contact info with them now and can always decline it. Overall it left a bad first impression especially since it was our first encounter with the restaurant. The food was good and filling but the staff definitely need more training on how to provide better customer service.

It's a very cute place to eat with a great outside area. Personally I found the food okay but it left me feeling like I'd probably not come back despite the nice space. My biggest dislike was the flavour of the water which tasted like plastic and even though we replaced it with a glass container it still seemed slightly off. This first impression personally made it hard to enjoy the meal which although presented well seemed to just come up short on taste.

It was delicious brunch with good location and staff. They have guests parking as well.I give 4 to everything except one thing.A staff's manager standing very close to our table and shouted on his staff and trained her for some points. The poor girl who was great server of our table too, took too much pressure which you could feel it. Try it if you are visiting that area.Reply:Thanks for your follow up and consideration.I think training in front of customers is too heart breaking, specially for a person who is doing her best to make all customers happy. We saw her efforts and appreciated it.

I have to admit we came two days in a row to this little jewel in Richmond ❤️ you can't do any wrong, the waiters are more than nice and very friendly, we immediately felt welcome ? as you can see on the pics, the food not only looks delicious, but also tastes that way can only recommend to come here if you are around. Only a little liiiittlleee advise, you should take a bit more caution regarding the rest rooms... But that's nothing to serious at all in this case, I would call it the only thing I could criticize.

Staying locally, we walked into Steveston and looked around for a café. Google pointed out The Cannery Café. It was obviously popular, with plenty of outdoor seating. While we did not eat, from what we could see the food looked good and we know the coffee was great. Service was excellent and prices sensible. Would be happy to have this as my local café.

Black mold on the rim of the water carafe. These guys don’t pay attention to cleanliness. Water glass was also dirty.

Debating to give a 3 or 4 stars. It’s definitely a very popular breakfast restaurant in Steveston and food is very good. Please be aware that one of the waitresses serving outdoor always encourages people to sit outdoor even there’s space indoor. The reason for that is because she can get all the tips. I was told to put down my name and phone number for indoor sitting and was told wait time is 30-40min. When i walked inside, there were 3 tables available and i asked if i can sit down, indoor server immediate said yes and there’s no one waiting. Management should monitor this closely. That’s my second time to this restaurant and the same server did the same thing so I don’t think she’s new but very selfish. My second time had the Lobster Waffle and it’s super yummy!

This is a cute little cafe in the heart of Steveston that serves something for everyone, from hot chocolate to red wine, there’s something for everyone. They also have a wall of fame as this cafe was used in the filming of “Once Upon a Time” which is really cool to see if you’re a fan of the show or just want to experience a piece of local Hollywood.Food wise, the portions are good, flavours are decent, and I would recommend coming here for a brunch if you’re in the area. If you’re expecting five star dining style food, you won’t get that, but you’ll still get really good service and a cozy spot to eat while you take a break from exploring the village.

The food is to die for - simply delicious!! The Granny's Hot Chocolate was the one I have never tasted in the entire Vancouver. I am hooked for life to this place. Best customer service, neat and tidy place. I went around 10.00 a.m and it was busy!
