The surprise chicken sashimi was delightful! Edit: Since the restaurant wishes to press the matter rather than admitting fault, I will elaborate by saying that the chicken was ABSOLUTELY RAW in the middle. Nothing to do with it being a particular type of meat. This was not the normal redness you get near a bone. The raw part in the picture was accordingly cold. In fact after I sent the dish back and the waitstaff returned with it (presumably microwaved), pieces of the meat were still pink enough that I could not bring myself to finish the rest of it. I would steer clear unless you’re really feeling adventurous.
Price wise with an ongoing inflation? Avery is not soo expensive. Food is freshly made, tasty and good servings.Soft femine ambiance inside. Soothing to the eyes.
One of the servers had very bad attitude. The service was very slow, from ordering to serving food. Whenever we asked her regarding the menu her response was very short and impatient. She only collected the dirty dishes when we requested. We had to remind her that we were waiting for our dessert. When serving desserts, she practically threw the dishes on the table. When paying she complained that we did not give her enough tips. She said that could complaint you the owner. I would not recommend this restaurant at all mainly because of the service but also the food is not up to standard.
I have an African-style fried chicken for lunch. The chicken is fried meticulously so that it will not be too dry and that the meat juice can be kept. The seasoning on the chicken is well mixed, giving a delightful taste of herbs.The soup is creamy and tastes well. The iced milk tea is silky and not too sweet.The decoration is excellent. What I appreciate most is that their floor is super clean and not greasy. This marks a big difference from conventional HK style cafe.The attendants are polite and patient.
Don’t mistake this cafe as just a regular tea /coffee place. It is a full fledged dinning restaurant.But they do have a huge list of teas to select from. Food menu also has great selection of food items. I didn’t try a-lot of food so can’t comment a-lot except , the interior is beautiful like a fairy tale.
Lunch with friends. My dreamy decoration. Safe me a trip to Europe to enjoy the unique decoration. Great food, price point and good services. Will go back again.

Had a very unique interesting lunch at the Avery restaurant for lunch , with my business partner's , located in Garden City Plaza , lot of parking , totally looked different from out side and inside restaurant WOW ! the ambiance so elegant like a five stars fine dinning or a high end high tea place , romantic , cozy , but the decor is unmatched to a Hong Kong Cafe and the menu they offer , the bigger concern to me is " Lost of Identity " to the customers is it a Chinese restaurant ? Cake Shop ? Cafe ? Dessert House ? Steak and Lobster restaurant ? or WHAT ? I am lost ! menu is Asian and Western style , price very reasonable , but over all , six of us we all agree food just mediocre , nothing very stand out , my Prawn sausage spaghetti very chewy , my other partner's Curry Seafood rice leaking in flavour and so runny like Curry Soup ! very disappointed to see a upscale restaurant can serve so poor quality food from the kitchen , my expectation too high ? under staff , under train server , not friendly , no P.R , I ask her what is the best dishes in the restaurant , she shrugged her shoulder and tell me I do not eat here ! WOW ! well , it is our first and last time here . 12.30 noon only two tablets occupied , where is the lunch rush ? now I know why , the Chinese Restaurant few door down is packed !
Dreamy decor from the days when they had afternoon tea here. Great selection of food. Enjoyed the pork hock which came with pasta and salad; you will leave feeling full and satisfied. Service was lacking.
Good selection of Hongkong style Chinese food with reasonable prices. Nice ambiance and decorations. Though the restaurant is short-staffed.
