The food looks bad and tastes awful! It’s been a long time since I’ve tried food like this bad! And it costs me $80 to eat this kinda trash! Very angry!
My wife and I come here quite frequently. The food is always fantastic and the service is prompt. I would say this is one of the more high end sushi restaurants in Richmond but you get what you pay for. The fish is always fresh and expertly prepared.
Poor service and communication. While the sashimi was decent, the cooked items did not worth the price. The staff had mistakenly given our dish to another table who had arrived much later than we did. We had to follow up twice and waited for 20 minutes or more for the remaining item. There was no proper acknowledgment of their wrong doing. Staff was unprofessional and appeared confused. The experience was unpleasant and definitely did not match the high price tag. We will not come back. We only considered eating here because we needed something from one of the stores at the plaza. Not worth coming here if you are looking for an enjoyable dining experience.
A premium quality sushi experience. The takeout was even wrapped in a cloth like bag. The hotate nigiri was juicy and sweet. The goose liver melted in your mouth. The uni was creamy and the salmon miso aburi was pretty and tasty. Also, the sushi rice was a perfect firm and chewy texture with the perfect amount of vinegar and sweetness. You do pay a bit more here, but the quality is there.
Hands down the ultimate Japanese restaurant we've ever been to. They have everything we where always looking for, from beautifully presented and tasty dishes to very pleasant atmosphere and setting. Food comes quick and servers are very polite. If I can give more stars I would! Keep up the good work, will always be going back for more.Thank you!
Very nice interior and great service. The presentation is beautiful that’s why the price reflects it. The food is so fresh and taste was delicious. I would definitely come back.

The food was great! Fresh fish and good waiting staff. I gave a 3 star due to our experience on getting a table. We showed up just after 5:30 and was told that a table would be 5 mins. We sat on the waiting seats and waited for a table when an older couple walked in. The owner I'm guessing had a conversation with the couple in Mandarin and then approached my wife and I. He randomly pointed at a reservation and said thay they had reserved the table. He didn't realize that I understood Mandarin and everything he said was a lie. The older couple had called but nobody made a reservation and the owner lied to us as he gave our table to them. We didn't get a table till 6ish. I would try this restaurant again but not for awhile as nobody likes to be lied to.
