I am new to Prince George and thought I would try the Alpine Pub (after all, they have pretty good reviews). I was immediately dissapointed, however, as they would not even take my order, stating "the kitchen is too backed up with over an hour wait". That's fine, but at least give your customer the option of waiting; I would have gladly waited. Finally, the lady I spoke to was rude, curt, and dismissive - no apology, no compromise, just a rush to have me gone. Hence the 1-star review.
When I get driven home from my server; after spraining my ankle and hoping this was a good place to rest, and replenish my energy…. Yeah… 10/10 service.. lol I sprained my ankle with my sprinting and jogging schedule not because I fell…. But due to the fact that year 30 is vast approaching my life… and it is coming in hot! So you know how it goes, if you are indeed already there….. so so guess I NEED to warm up: stretch first it’s no longer optional/extra curricular?! ???

The alpine is a classic staple in the hart, great for grabbing a few drinks or enjoying thier delicious schnitzel! Best place to start and end your pub crawl!
I have heard good things about the food at the Alpine, but last night was my first visit. It did not disappoint. I was there with a group and we all had a version of schnitzel. Yummy and good size portions. A lively atmosphere. People playing pool, visiting between tables. Not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner. If you are okay with a little noise and want great food, give it a try.
My favourite neighbourhood pub. The food is great. The Alpine has the best crispy chicken burger in PG! Prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are good too. We always have great service!
A hidden gem of Prince George that we are lucky enough to call our neighborhood pub. We are regulars for both takeout or dinner and a drink. An awesome spot with a menu that does both awesome pub classics but also with some German culinary inspired classics like the Schnitzel - all of which will blow you away.
Great food.. great atmosphere... staff is always helpful and friendly...
