Been coming here for years. Amazing tasting and fresh dim sum. Super friendly and fast service. They are always accommodating and fun with our kids. Will continue to come here always!
When we travel to the lower mainland of BC (quite often). We meet with friends and try to go to this restaurant everyday. We love dim sum so much! We have our favourite dishes, deep fried squid, green beans, Har gow (shrimp dumplings) siu mai (pork dumplings), shrimp spring rolls, pan fried shrimp and chive dumplings, bean curd roll, scallop dumplings, curried baby octopus. We like to choose a different "surprise" dish or two. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly.
We had the best lunch today. Service was great, place is clean and food was amazing! The tea served was very flavorful as well! Will definitely come back and recommend! ?
I personally liked the taste of their dishes. Ordered take-out from them multiple times and keep wanting to go back. Of the times I've been there, there's always lots of customers and their parking is full. Had to park nearby.
My to go to Authentic Chinese Restaurant. I have been ordering food here and sometime Dine in DIMSUM and everything is great. The owner I believe is their working hard serving customers to his best! See you again!
Haven't been to Rainbow Butterfly for a long while, was in the hood and decided to have Dim Sum there.Quality: 3/5 (changed kitchen staffs or recipes? Quality is just not as good as they used to be. Colour doesn't look right (lighter, wash out look), the turnip cake 蘿蔔糕, rice noodle roll 腸粉, were all abnormal sized.Service: 3/5, nothing to brag about, which has always been about the same for the last 10+ years.Cleanliness: 4/5
Decent food... Ordered cheung fun (shrimp), steamed spareribs, pan fried turnip cake, deep fried salted tofu (could pass on this for 8.50), and yang chow fried rice. All was good, but the tofu was totally cheaper out, everything else was worth the 5.95 per dish. That's the newest pricing, chef specials were 8.50.. Fried rice was good bang for your dollar. Would go back again.. Service was decent... Dishes were cleared quickly and lady was nice.
Good varieties and tasty dim sum. It's not crazily busy in pandemic and seating is spacious. Friendly staff and reasonable price. It's a good choice in PoCo.
This place doesn't have a website so I had to order from phone for first time without a menu so I felt like I inconvenienced the old guy whom I talked to, when I got there had to wait by door for someone to finally come up so then I paid& when I asked for receipt he looked so annoyed with me.. like I'm sorry for frustrating you..also the receipt was a small tiny paper with not much on it? Never seen such thing. maybe old schooled because even on phone he said under $10 purchase is cash only so that's why I ordered more to be paying by card.. anyway Bad first impression but my combo was good lol
Food is good. I can't figure out why they don't update their menu. Its 2021 and they post a 6 year old menu with old pricing. I have been there many times, Staff are pleasant but there is no excuse for having a poor profile online.
