2022-05-31 afternoon around 1:30pm. Not busy. We ordered one house special and one pork sub. If you like meats, you will like their pho which is full of meats! But I am more impressed by their sub. So delicious! I did not even want to waste a second to take a photo so I did not take one, sorry ??? Grilled pork sub is a must-order! Server lady is very friendly. Great customer service too. Strongly recommend Pho 51!
Experienced Phở eater here.Dropped into Phở 51 on way back from camping at Golden Ears.Their broth is so tasty and super clear. Too many Phở restaurants have bland broth. Phở 51’s broth is one of the best in metro Vancouver. Great amount of noodles and meat.Their Vietnamese coffee was perfect. Too often, it is either too bitter or they use too much condensed milk. Perfect ratio. Hit me like a ton of bricks, in a great way. Reminded me of my trip to Saigon.Their lemon soda was spot on as well. Super refreshing and not too sweet. Again, too many restaurants use too much sugar for this drink and it will hide the lemony taste. Perfection.Will be back!
Great service and well decorated. My pho broth wasn't as flavorful as other locations I've been to and could have been a tad bit warmer. It's Pho that does the job, taste yummy but not one of the best that I've had.Bonus points though for a great kids menu ?
Where do I begin. First entered the restaurant with my friend to sit down and eat , when we were told we had to order b4 we sat down and also pay b4 we sat down. I had only $ 5 cash on me so I paid $20 by debit for my meal when it asked me for a tip? Well I tip according to the food and the service how am I to tip when I haven't even sat down yet. I tip between 20% - 50 % depending on service. However I tipped $5 cash as that all the cash I had.Come To find out at the end of the meal when I asked for take out container as I ate only half my chicken vermicelli, that I needed to now pay .30 for a take out container ??? I had no cash as I gave all my cash for the tip in advance lol lol ...so uhmm yah if my friend didn't have .30 cents on her what would have happened would I have not been allowed to take the rest of my food home ?? Or maybe he should have just taken it out of my tip then As no one is going to put .30 on a debit or credit card . Maybe Pho 51 when u tell your customers they have to pre pay especially when we use debit or credit let us know we can't take home our left over meal unless we pay. 30 .... I will never go back there this pre system is retarded and frustrating to say the least. It is a sit down restaurant or use to be . For anyone who loves Vietnamese the place on prairie and coast meridian is delicious way cheaper and u get free take out containers imagine that being able to take home left over food without paying lmao ?..
Very tasty Pho. All Covid protocols were in place. Staff were nice. Would go there again
$24 for a small soup and 1 spring roll?! Pay and tip before you sit down is a new policy?! Well I don’t know what the service and food is like and that’s what I base my tip on.
Pretty decent Pho place but prices are higher then others. 1 large bowl 1 reg and 1 kid meal was about $48 before tips.
Food is good and service is fast. They're pricier than most places I go for pho. The quality is good though.
Fast service and covid safe. However the broth could be hotter. It was only warm and not warm enough to cook my beef slices.
Sad to say that the service at this restaurant has dropped significantly. Pho soup served inside was warm.I explained soup needs to be served hot enough that my rare beef can change colour not remain raw.They mentioned when I add sprouts it gets cooler. There was not a single sprout added.Save your money go elsewhere where service is important.
