Highly recommend giant bomb special roll! Wasnt able to take a photo of kabocha korokke, but I super recommend this dish too if you like squash!

Teriyaki beef was good quality meat. Good flavour. Too many potatoes, yes there are potatoes which was odd and looked like filler. $17 bucks was steep for this lunch item.

Best Japanese food I’ve ever had in my life. Everything is tasty and fresh. I’ve never been seek after I ate there. I’m looking forward to come back and eat there.Amazing chicken kaarage.

A gem hidden away in Poco! Super delicious and slightly boujee Japanese food, you can see them being a little above and beyond any random sushi place. The bomb roll was SO BOMB with a crunchy outside and a soft and warm inside. The ebi oshi also had such a nice smoke flavour to it. The curry katsu was a little dry for me, but considering the portion it was value.Loved the friendly service, the presentation, and the small details, like the interior and the ceramics used to serve food. On the pricier price point for sushi but we got our money worth plus a good experience.

In general this restaurant is not worth to revisit. Service is pretty good but asked to collect dishes too frequent even there’s still food in this dish. No others are waiting for table but seems wanting us to leave. Food is a bit too pricey. With the same quality, there is alot more choices in tri cities. The best part is actually variety of ice cream ? which was not in the picture.

Kai is one of the best sushi restaurants in port coquitlam. The portions are generous and the rolls are delicious! There is a great vibe to this hidden gem in the Fremont area. I definitely recommend this place!

Food was okay. Fresh and tasty. After reading a few good reviews I ordered a couple rolls and miso. Spicy Avocado Yam roll: literally just sat a yam roll on spicy mayo and spread avocado on top. Not worth the $10 imo. Dragon roll : I’ve had much better for far less than $18 bucks. Miso was fine, didn’t know bowls that small existed. I’d still give it another shot, but I LL be more careful ordering next time.

Unbelievable quality. Service is great. Prices were a little expensive for the items you could get elsewhere for cheaper but once the food arrives at your table, it is completely understandable and even a good value for how fresh and tasty their fish is. Even their rice is divine.

Always fresh and delicious
