Can't say enough good things about this place. First time coming since we needed to be around the area and the reviews were good.Walked in and were greeted by a couple friendly servers. We were very pleasantly surprised at how reasonable prices were, considering the price increases we've seen at almost every other restaurant. We ordered 2 lunch boxes (one sashimi lunch box and one dynamite lunch box) and a Salmon combo for 2 adults and 1 Nine year old.Portions were good, and downright exceptional considering the prices. Everything was very fresh and well made. The star of this place is the service. The servers are exceptional. Very friendly, polite, and helpful. Not rushed, and very attentive in a good way.The cherry on top was the cute coffee machine at the exit, where guests can pick up a free coffee on their way out!A new fave for us whenever we're in the area!

Went here for the first time today and have nothing but good things to say! The interior was charming, the staff were super friendly and attentive, and the sushi was delicious - everything me and my group got really tasted like it was made with care and quality ingredients. You're looking at roughly $20-$30 per person for dinner, though they did have some cheaper specials for lunch time and quite a few combo options that were priced well. This location is in a small strip mall location - there is some parking, but worst case, there are still other options nearby if the small lot is full.Great experience overall, and I look forward to coming back here in the future.

I've been getting takeout from here at least once a month for over the past year. The cheap prices land you very large portions! I'm always surprised! The food is consistent and the service is friendly! And very fast, only takes them 15 minutes to make my orders! I recommend their katsu box, they give more katsu cutlet than anywhere else!I'll keep on going back! Thank you!

Great sushi place. The service was quick and accurate. Their rolls are unique and delicious. I recommend the Five Guys Rolls. The prices are very reasonable. A good place for family or friend gatherings.

It's been almost 10 years since I was a customer. Hasn't changed at all. The food was excellent. Fresh salmon and tuna sashimi, tempura was crispy and fresh and the Five Guys Roll was " Over the Top". Will be back soon.

Seafood Yaki Soba was absolutely delicious. It was too big of a portion for me, so I shared it with my husband who liked it as well. Actually this place is our favourite sushi restaurant in Poco area. We come here at least once in two weeks. I recommend the place. Amazing food and staff.

I enjoyed my meal here;Ordered the Chicken Katsu and it was about as expected. Perhaps the meat was a bit too thin, hence the 4 stars, but still enjoyable.Friend of mine had a tasty looking platter and said he was satisfied as well. Overall a good place to grab a bite if you can't decide between other places around or just haven't stopped by.In terms of service, it was quick and the server was pleasant, though the place was empty at the time we came so can't comment what it's like when it gets busier.Lastly, what I would change is perhaps having the Katsu served as a single slice of breaded meat instead of two, so that there is something more to bite into, but that may just be my own preference.

Friendly staff and fast service. Food is great and affordable. One of our favorite place to go here in PoCo.

The place has been round since 1984. It's staying power lies in their fresh sashimi, delicious entrees and perfect lunch/dinner combos. We had the dinner bentos and enjoyed a bit of everything Asahi offered - tempura, teriyaki chicken, nigiri, cali roll, sashimi etc.And the service is amazing. The team's warmth offset the freezing snow outside. Will be back to try more menu selections very soon! Keep it up, guys!

Very disappointed. This is not a 4.3 restaurant. Three of our rolls were inedible and the ones we did eat we’re not very good. Something seemed off with the spicy tuna, the dynamite had a some kind of bbq sauce on it or something and the salmon mango roll had the sweetest mango sauce/goop all over it. They gave us one tiny ball of wasabi and barely any ginger. I feel bad for wasting food (and money) but we can’t eat any more of it.
