I have been going to Yummy Donair for past several years and the food/price/service had always been reasonable. After a few months, I paid a visit yesterday. Menu was a bit different, prices way higher than I expected. However, I proceeded to order the usual Chicken Platter and double Koobideh. The chicken platter was not as tasty as before, my partner indicated. And my Koobideh, where do I start. The portion was 2/3, at best, of what it used to be and were a bit under cooked. And no onion/Sumac was included in my takeout. I definitely will not be going back as for same/less, I can get a much better meal from other Persian places.I suspect may be it is under new management /ownership and that would explain their short sightedness.
This place used to be good but not anymore. Chicken tastes terrible now, it's not nicely cooked with a nice sear anymore. Humus tastes God awful now (used to be the best). Smaller portions, staff is pseudo rude now (like does the bare minimum customer service). Nail in the coffin was I told buddy no sauce like 15 times on my platter but surprise surprise there was sauce on it when I got home. Sad to see a restaurant you frequent go down hill. Won't be returning here anymore.
For the price, the portions are very generous. I got the chicken platter and it was very good. The fries are alright, but the garlic sauce i got with my meal was really good.
My go-to place for Donair for years now. Delicious! Lately they’ve cut back on sauce though or else I’d give 5 stars. Bring back the sauce!
Yummy is so under rated. this is my go to Donair platter in the north shore. I really love how tender they cook the lamb platter and I love the rice. The salads could be better. Otherwise, great price and fresh food.
Sooo bad!!! I ordered lamb and I don't even know what it tasted like. It was minced something with a real bad taste. And 18 $ for a bit of meat and fries ist really expensive. First and last time so disappointed drove 30 min. to eat a Döner...
Yummy’s chicken shawarma plate is to die for! The bread served with it is also delicious… I’ve never had it before and would love to know what it’s called!I’ve knocked a star off as the service can be hit-or-miss depending on who you get. However, overall, prices are reasonable for huge portions and the food is always great.
Ordered on DoorDash and my food was so good! Really big portion too. The chicken shawarma is amazing and has such a yummy cinnamon/ nutmeg flavour. Very impressed.
They use to be really good. But, the last few times have been very bad. The prices have gone up. We ordered 4 things and 2 of them was cold. One was very dry or over cooked. The Greek salad was soggy. When I ordered, I had to repeat my order 3 times. They still didn't get it right. After all that, they over charged me. The charge couldn't returned to my card. Because no one had a manager's override. They have to gave back cash.
