This is my first time at this place and I was surprised how busy the place was. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. We ordered Dim Sum and enjoyed every dish.

Vancouver and Richmond are the places to be when one has a hankering for Dim Sum. However when one is in the North Shore, there are a few places that one can try.I have had Dim Sum from Westview a few years ago and it was better than a few places. As we headed off to West Van, I figured we could stop here for food.It wasn't as busy as I would expect and the menu had pictures of what one can order. Har Gow was fair, not too salty, and the dough was fine. However the Siu Mai is rough to chew. It's really dense for some reason.Would I go again? Sure. Why not?

Honestly I was surprised that North Vancouver would have such decent authentic dim sum. My only advice, don't order the siu mai. Although a typical staple dim sum here it was dense and the server told me pork was like that ? aside from that everything else was pretty good. Definitely will do it againFood: 4/5

Always great food. The owner always goes out of his way to great you. A nice service touch in today's electronic world.

Food was good, service was quick. No wait even on a weekend. Really liked the congee, well seasoned. Every dim sum was hot and fresh. Prices reasonable. One of the few, if not the only and the best choice for dim sum on the North Shore. Lots of parking in the strip mall lot, though spaces are a bit narrow.

I was very disappointed when my order for delivery arrived and it was wrong. Worse than that however, was the attitude I received when I called to advise them. They told me I got what I’d ordered. I advised them that there was not a chance of that happening, due to family allergies, and the dish was one I wold never order. They refused to send me what I’d originally ordered. All they would offer was 50% off the unwanted dish, until I pressured them for a full refund. All I can say is their arrogance at their own mistake, has most definitely lost them a customer.

On May 25, 2022, I called to order delivery for a single combo and was advise that there was a $35 minimum for delivery. I added 2 soup dishes and was 15 cents shy of the $35 minimum. I was told by the lady that I should order an eggroll to get to the minimum. She said the computer would not accept less than $35 for a delivery order. I told her to cancel the order and suddenly the computer accepted the order. When my order arrived there was a $5.00 fuel charge. My address is 2 Km from the restaurant. I called the manager and told him I am done with Westview Oriental Restaurant. His reply was that they had been doing that for a long time. That does not make it right. The Toyota that the driver used would be 25 cents for fuel. I am done with these people.

I ordered online and there was nothing on the menu to indicate how spicy the dishes were. Two out of the three dishes were basically inedible because they were so spicy. I went back to look at their printed menu that someone had taken a picture of and posted online and even one of the spicy dishes did not indicate that it is spicy. Very disappointed with the experience!

Taking my aunt to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal to Victoria , last minutes , we stopped in the Westview restaurant for lunch , located in Westview Shopping Centre , lot of parking , family run been in North Vancouver for decades . well know for locales for their authentic Szechuan and Cantonese dishes , surprised they offer Dim Sum lunch too , not much decor due to the restaurant layout , but clean airy , we both fell very comfortable about the Covid guidelines , not busy at all , menu have so many choices , but the Dim Sum menu very standard , I find a lot of frozen Dim Sum , and too much MSG ( dry mouth feeling ) some of the steamed Dim Sum is over steam , like my poor Chickens feet and spareribs just fell of the bone , you need a spoon not chopsticks ! but tasty and flavourful ! my aunt love every bite , good for her dentures , seafood Congee very nice and variety real seafood , it is not the best Dim Sum restaurants in North Shore , little expensive with the quality you get , but over all , it is convenience to the terminal , friendly owner , if I am in the area again , I may come back to try their signature Spicy Crab ! leaving full and happy .
