I want to like this place as I believe in supporting small business. However, the last couple of times we have shopped there the steaks have not been as advertised. We also had a very disappointing turkey from there. I think that due to business being a bit slow recently, the meat, fish, etc sits in the display case too long and so isn’t as fresh as it could be. The staff are always so friendly and helpful that I really wish their products were better.
Great quality products and helpful staff whether on the phone or in person. Very helpful but i feel like they give me the sideeye whenever i just come by to browse as i like browsing.
Prior to this year, we have always ordered our fresh Christmas turkeys from Costco and the turkeys have been very moist and tender. This year in early December, when Costco couldn't give us assurance that they would have sufficient stock of fresh birds, we decided to place an order with Westlynn Meats.We picked the fresh 13# bird supplied by JD Farms up on Dec. 22 and cooked it Xmas day.We noticed right away in unwrapping the turkey that part of one wing, my wife's favourite part, was missing. To us this suggested this was a utility bird, not the grade A bird we had paid a very high price for.We cooked the stuffed bird at 350 for about 4 hours until it was nicely browned, to an internal temperature of about 170, and let it stand for 1/2 hour.Using my regular carving knife which I always sharpen prior to carving, the meat in the breast was very difficult to cut evenly coming off in strings, not nice carved slices. The meat was tough and the breast meat had a greyish appearance. It was a most disappointing experience.
hmm.. hit and miss. I purchased 'sashimi grade' tuna and salmon and once it was good, the second time it was garbage. that bad that you can see the tuna meat is not even red but rather yellow.. and sticks to your throat. and this is sashimi grade? i understand each day could be better or worse but this was clear it should not be sold as sashimi grade to customers.. next time I bring it back and let them have it
The staff here are friendly, the meat is excellent quality for great prices. If you care about where you meat comes from, you wont be disappointed here. Chicken, beef, eggs, seafood, sausages you name it, these guys have got it.
The customer service, selection, and quality are all top notch here! We had such a great time learning about their products and where they come from while chatting with their super friendly employees. Everything has been just as delicious as we hoped when we have cooked it.

Best butchers ever!! Michael and Luiz are fantastic, not only can you order just about anything as get the best quality, they offer great cooking tips for all types of meat and seafood, they also have pre prepped items if you want something quick and yummy! These two are my go to when I just don’t know what to cook for dinner, they are a wealth of knowledge and wonderful butchers as well. Prices are competitive and quality is great!
These guys are simply the best. Best Ham's, best Turkey, best all. For Christmas just bought a Turkey Breast and was a bit nervous about it. It was so delicious. They have best cuts, make best recommendations and really customer focused. Highly, highly recommend.
We preordered a very specific turkey two weeks before christmas. The day of pickup, I was given something completely different and was told they dont have any full turkeys, which is what we pre ordered. A lot of people buy turkeys for christmas and they run out, which is understandable. What is not understandable is that the preordering was not respected, even after we had to pay a $20 deposit0/10, worse than cyberpunk releaseWe preordered the JD farms 14 pound turkeyThey gave us 7 lb of rolled turkey breast combo for $67.77
