Tommy’s is a legendary North Shore cafe, known for great breakfasts. Great service and food over the years, I’d highly recommend checking it out. Arrive early as the place is usually quite busy. Try the buro, one of my favourites.
Tommy’s Cafe has been working since 1990 in Lynn Valley neighborhood. Quaint little retro bistro in North Vancouver. Tasty food and prompt service. Great location for small groups of 2-5. We had 5 in our group and they were all too happy to immediately accommodate by moving tables and bringing in an extra chair. Youth(age5+) friendly place where the staff is friendly. (I personally would not bring too young of a child here as your child may prefer a less busy and more spacious atmosphere.) If you use the restroom here, make sure to lock the door behind you. Parking was full when we arrived so we had to park down the street, but the street parking did not have a charge, so that was nice not to pay for street parking. Great place to go for a quick, scrumptious meal and great service!
Tommy's is our Sunday morning delivery ritual. Food always arrives hot, fresh and feels like something a great cook would make from home. I look forward to giving you patronage inside the restaurant one of these days! In the interim, thank you for being part of our weekend tradition!

Tommy's Cafe offers breakfast bowls, and I had the pouting potato bowl—No, that is not a typo for poutine, even though it's clearly a play on poutine with poached eggs, pesto, hollandaise sauce, and cheese curds, served up with veggies over home fries. An absolutely bizarre combination of flavors, but I was still glad to have tried it.Tommy's true specialty, however, is their traditional pierogies, and I couldn't help but order a side dish of them with caramelized onions. Those are definitely worth every bite!Cheers to pierogi and pouting!
It's okay. Potatoes were a little soggy and I asked for my poached eggs to be soft and they were medium/hard. Still the best place for breakfast in Lynn Valley/North Shore that I've been to.
First experience here and I will be a returning customer. We ordered through Uber and unfortunately our food was sitting for a while waiting on a driver. Assuming due to the very bad, stormy weather today it was a bit slow but a very lovely gentleman offered to deliver our food for us instead of waiting for an Uber driver.The food is just as good as the service. The fact he was willing to drive out in such poor conditions shows how much this place cares about their food and customers. Honestly disappointed in myself for not trying anything from here sooner. 1000% will be back. :)
