Food was ok. Hubby agrees with the other reviews of the pad thai being super sweet and tastes like ketchup. The pinapple fried rice was good. The place has no ac and was unbearably hot. When it came time to pay the bill was 37$ we had a 50$ gift card in which the server took it as we were leaving a huge tip. She went to cleaning another section and hubby wasn’t bothered to chase her down. But not what we wanted to pay.Would not come back.
NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY AT ALL. And almost half of the menu wasn’t available, everything tasted bland and not very good. Almost all the dishes have fish sauce and oyster sauce. I don’t recommend it.
My family and I had the combo for 6 , it was alright. I enjoyed the drinks and the appetizers. However, the food didn't taste like authentic Thai food. The dishes were too sweet or salty. Where were the spices?? The pad thai was awfully sweet and tasted like ketchup. The red curry chicken was good, but the chicken was too tough and dry in my opinion. I felt bad for coming a few minutes before closing, but staff was very friendly
Quite a nice Thai restaurant. Reasonable prices for the portions (which are adequate), good taste, and a very nicely decorated restaurant with a lot of Buddhist and Thai decor. It appears that some employees are of Thai descent too.
We ordered a wonderful dinner from the Thai House restaurant for pickup. There were eight dishes in total, including spinach rice, regular rice, a seafood dish, tofu dishes, curry dishes etc. A very large variety of food. The entire family was very happy with the portion sizes, the price, and the quality and taste of the food. An excellent experience, and we will definitely be ordering from the Thai House restaurant again.
Great service and decent Thai food. The taste is more sweet than spicy. If you like sweet Thai food, this is the place to go.
delicious food. great service.
I have finally found my favourite North Shore Thai restaurant! I don't know what took me so long. I had a favourite Thai restaurant in my old neighbourhood in Vancouver, and nothing on the North Shore seemed to come close. I'm guessing I didn't try this one before because of some of the negative reviews? Well this was a lesson for me to try for myself rather than be influenced by reviews!Last week a family member wanted to celebrate her birthday at the Thai House Restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic! Unfortunately I only managed to take one photo, of the Tom Kha soup, because I was so excited and enjoying the food so much I forgot to take more photos! We were a group of 6 and enjoyed trying several dishes that we shared. My personal favourites are the Traditional Pad Thai with tamarind sauce and tiger prawns, Tom Kha soup with prawns and Yellow Curry with chicken. If you are looking for vegetarian options the Yellow Curry with tofu and Mixed Seasonal Vegetables with Chiang Mai were also very good.We also enjoyed the Thai Satay Chicken, Spring Rolls and Cashew Chicken. I love that the Pad Thai has the thin rice noodles and that they offer it with tamarind sauce as an option and not just tomato sauce. All of the dishes with prawns had a generous serving of them.I loved the food so much I have been back for takeout twice in the last week! I can't get enough of the Tom Kha soup - the flavour is delectable!Parking behind the restaurant makes dine-in and takeout so easy in a busy area.Thank you Thai House! We will be back!
We called ahead and asked how long the lunch special was on for, we got there in time to only be told it wasn't on today... we were also the only people in the restaurant and I wish I never sat down to be honest. The joint is decorated well but feel like its all a front of house show as the food is the least Thai authentic I ever tasted, they didn't even provide chop sticks and gave us forks which was alarming to me. We then got the Brunch special which added is more expensive (than lunch) and they have no salad, some reason related to COVID didn't make sense to me but hey.I hate to give a bad review but also hate feeling like I've been ripped off.The Jasmine rice was not sticky and tasted microwaved/uncooked. The Mixed Season Vegetables with Tofu and satay based sauced, was placid orange colored and did not taste anything like peanut, but tasted like it came from a pre-mixed store-bought jar. My Pad Bai was not spicy in the slightest and the Pad Thai starter didn't even have Pad Thai noodles nor a lime wedge.Seems petty, but to me this is not Thai food and seems the expenses on decor have made a significant detriment on the quality of the food.
Amazing Thai food, I recommend their short ribs and the tom yum soup ?. Clean and cozy atmosphere to meet with friends or family.
