Amazing food and service. Ordered an appetizer, 3 mains to share along with two desserts and it was all outstanding. Service was stellar too! We'll definitely be back and will bring friends/family.Beautiful garden as well! Very cool spot. :)

This was the first time and I will tell you folks I will be going there often now. Food is just great. We went there late for a quick bite as this was our first time. The ricotta gnocchi just melts in your mouth, the veg lasagna is filled with the perfect amount of greatness and the pesto hand rolled pasta is right on the bite. A must try for every occasion and highly recommended. ? *******

I went here for lunch with my mom yesterday, and the food was SO delicious. I had the frittata with mushrooms, potatoes and bacon, and a side of bread with caramelized onion butter. Incredibly delicious. My mom had the mussels - also delicious. Beautiful presentation. We sat out in their gardens, surrounded by gorgeous plants and vegetables - it felt like we were in a different country. Highly recommend.

Best local restaurant food on the north shore I Think... Had a very nice meal here. Pasta was delicious and fresh. A very cozy place!I have been here two times . And I will visit again!

I had a simple wedding ceremony and reception here with 50 guests. It was an amazing venue for an event. The staff are all so lovely and flexible. The food was amazing as always and they really put a lot of attention and effort into guests dietary requirements to ensure everyone had an absolutely delicious meal/starter/dessert regardless.

Montecristo Magazine wrote that host Brigitte Raye "made a name for herself with front-of-house prowess, gracefully turning hospitality into an art form." It is an accurate comment. We first encountered Ms. Raye years ago at La Regalade, her family's French bistro in West Vancouver. It is closed, but for many, not forgotten. Specializing in pasta dishes, Orto is inspired by Italian food styles but I think it is most particularly influenced by fresh produce from some of the finest growers available. In season, herbs and vegetables may come from the restaurant's attached garden. Food at Orto will be superb on any day but keep an eye on their website and watch for special events, like La Regalade nights where the Chefs recall French favourites from that highly regarded bistro. Of course, Ms. Raye will be present to ensure everything is near perfect.

The definition of a hidden gem! Great atmosphere, the team makes you feel right at home, expansive selection of wines and cocktails and the food is absolutely delicious! We were greeted so warmly by the owner Brigitte continued to check in on all her guests. Try the mussels and the bad dog bread plate to start and we had the mushroom gnocchi and bolognese as mains which were balanced perfectly, generous portions and came out quickly even though it was a packed dinner service. This was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have had in the city and is a must visit. We will certainly be back. Highly recommend!

My new favorite north shore restaurant! The food is exceptional but beyond that is the experience! Almost from the moment We walked in it felt like somewhere between Provence and Lyon…not knowing it was a French restaurant felt odd but as soon as we heard the kitchen staff speaking and tasted the bread with olive tapenade we were home and everything made sense. Can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the regular menu! PS. Farm to table perfection! Other restaurants compromise for this, Orto does it true French style as if they returned that day from a local market. Bravo ?

Lunch with SO - we both love this place. Been here for dinner a number of times and it has never disappointed. Delicious food. For lunch my pasta was amazing. Will definitely come again. Very happy we have this little gem on the North Shore.

If you enjoy tasty food, Orto is the place. My friend introduce me to this place. For lunch, we had the tasty trio (cup of carrot soup, greens and ½ sandwich) and smoke salmon and chive omelet with salad and Bad dog bread. Everything was fresh, flavourful and tasty including the homemade bread. We splurged and shared the tiramisu for dessert. Just right & not too sweet. They have breads and soups along with appetizers, pasta, & omelets for lunch. They even offered a 3 course lunch special. Service was prompt and friendly. Nice ambiance.Parking can be a challenge but it’s worth it. Definitely a hidden gem in North Vancouver. They’re near where Indigo books was. Can’t wait to dine at their outdoor patio when the weather warms up. Note they are closed Sunday to Tuesday. They accept lunch and dinner reservations.
