They have "jacked" up their prices and the food quality has dropped!! I was very disappointed tonight. We had to return our artichoke and feta dip because it came to the table barely warm!!The caesar kale salad was dry and when we asked for more dressing we were given a small side that barely held a teaspoon! The place was empty for a Saturday night so there was no excuse for food that wasn't perfect!I've been coming here for over 20 years and the last two visits I've had have been very disappointing! It is no longer worth what they are charging.

Don't bother with brunch, super disappointing. 1 sausage, 1 bacon strip & a few Denny's style hashbrowns, 1 piece of stale toast for $17. Slow service despite the place being empty. Got my lady's order completely wrong. Waste of money.

The service of this restaurant was awful. The behaviour of the staff was impolite, we asked them to change the table they didn’t move the drinks and starters for us , we did it! Asked for hot sauce after about 15 minutes and asking again and again the server threw the sauce and left us!I don’t recommend the restaurant even for a second!

Jack's as it is known on Lonsdale is a great after-work hangout. The locale is very stylish and well chosen and modern. It is more of a "pub" than a restaurant. The selection of food is good for a pub, the beer is cold and there is a reasonable selection of wine. They have happy hour... by far is the most fun on Fridays late afternoon. Admittedly the crowd changes after 7pm and it becomes a little more cozy when the lights are dimmed. For the Sports fan...there are a lot of screens. The prices are in line with other places of similar stature. The servers are very pleasant and the service is attentive and prompt. We had a great time the last time we were there and we'll be sure to visit again. Good place for a casual meet or a group get-together.

The bar-restaurant has been a staple of the Lonsdale area since before I was born. It went through a renovation and revitalization several years ago.Firstly, I wanna say I am impressed with their menu items, I feel like they've stepped their game up over the years in many ways and it shows on their menu. The bowls for example that I've tried are top notch and well constructed.I would rate this place higher if some of the servers there were more on the ball. I go quite regularly to this bar because it's right near our apartment. Many times, the servers I've had here just aren't quite attentive enough. A few times they've brought me the wrong items, and I feel like most of them don't know their menu very well. Maybe these servers were new.Never the less, the establishment is very well maintained and I think they take good care of it. The restrooms for example every time I've used them seem clean and attended to. Their outdoor space is great during a warm summer evening, there are also plenty of big tvs showing all sorts of sporting events. If you're in the area, check Jacks out.

Bait and switch marketing tactics..Sign outfront advertises tuesday wing special..Ordered.. when i got the bill the bartender told me the deal only comes into effect after 5pm and wouldnt offer the advertised pricing.. nowhere was this clause stated in house or mentioned.

Service is never good. Burgers now taste worse than any fast food place and are really small. Back of seats are ripped. The Manager clearly doesn't care about the place or doesn't know any better. In need of a bar rescue!

Been going here for awhile now and during the pandemic ordered a lot from them as well. First they couldn’t get any… yes I mean any of our orders to pick up right. And lately they can’t even serve there customers right. We went in last night for dinner and drinks hostesses never even said hi to us and we had to ask if we seat ourselves or they do it. Zero drinks once seated, 15 mins before server showed up to ask for drinks( yes it was busy) but still zero management around helping direct things or help the time we were there. Waitress doing the absolute best they can… but what gets me is sad to say the whole time we were there. Bartender was chilling and making drinks and chatting with people at the bar, could have helped in his area, waitress falling behind on orders and tables everyone was running out of drinks before being asked for anything, kitchen was behind on orders which upset customers, and the worst for me was waiting 40 mins to get the bill after asking for it, and watching waitresses walking around cleaning tables after I’m waving my credit card at them clearly making eye contact. It took us until someone in our party to get up and start walking to the door for the waitress to come over. We could have walked out without paying and I don’t think anyone would know. Seeing the amount of standing around and confusion was horrible. It was like no one knew what to do, or worst was directed wrong. Sadly this was it for me just a joke of customer service and management.

A small group of us needed a bite to eat after a long 12 hour shift volunteering at a nearby hospital. The leader amongst us chose this pub, and we were pleasantly surprised. After working hard all day, I for one had developed somewhat of a substantial appetite. My other half and I decided to share a platter of Nachos. I confess I did not believe it would be enough to satiate the substantial growls coming from the bottom of my entrails, but I was very wrong. When the platter came, it appeared to me that it could have fed at least 4 of me (and I usually eat like 2 or 3). Well needless to say I understood why it was so pricey. no complaints with a very understanding waiter either. To summarize, the food was great, the portions were huge and the service was excellent. As I was in uniform (and with a supervisor) I did not partake in the drink but it did not take away from the experience. The food is pricey but that is not unusual for Vancouver, and well worth it for the copious size of the dish. The ambiance was classy and chic. I will likely return if back in that area.

Went with some friends to watch football one Sunday. Asked if they would put the volume on and turn the music off. A solid "No" we were told and for 3 hours had to listen to loud music you would hear in a club. Average age of the customers that day was 50+, if your gonna play music, gauge your clientele and put something appropriate on, say classic rock for us old dudes. Haven't been back on a Sunday...
