I celebrated my birthday in this place, the food was very good, the salmon wellington took the night away. The place was full despite being Monday, for a moment it is unpleasant that they are reminding you that you only have 2 hours because the next reservation arrives, this don’t let you enjoy the dinner. Other than that, it was a very good experience. Fair prices, good portions, friendly staff. They should have something for birthday’s celebration (complimentary cake or something)
To say that the food is superb is an understatement, dining at Fishworks is an experience. There is no other place that has a personal touch of the overall experience, starting from the on-the-house warm bread with a side of chickpea puree and even to the chocolate truffles,a complimentary treat at the end. Now to the real deal, you can literally taste the flavors of the ocean in your mouth. You can savour it's freshness and a whole level of gastronomical expertise tossed in a plate. The Sockeye Salmon Wellington, the Fishworks Paella and the Scallop Risotto are my top 3 food in their menu!A must to recommend to my friends and family.
We have been here twice, and each time was wonderful. This most recent time around, we got the seafood tower. It had, hands down, the best lobster that I have ever tasted *and* the best baked oysters that I have ever tasted. They must magick their seafood down from some wonderful place on high where the fish are personally blessed by a great deity.Seriously, it was that good. The service was outstanding as well. When we went pre-pandemic, we didn't have reservations because we were just dropping in to check it out, and the service at the bar was superlative. This time, we reserved a table and it was again excellent. They were even nice enough to help me with a mask when I'd lost mine after taking it off for dinner. We'll be making the trip up again in a couple months to eat here, and I'd imagine that as long as we live in the region, we'll make sure to come by at least two or three times a year if not more.
I made a reservation before leaving Toronto for a front window table for 4 of us at 5pm on Wednesday March 9th. Upon arriving I was greeted by Mike, mgr, who was pleased to see me again and showed me to the table. My friend Ditmar arrived and we both realized it might be to cool because of the cold weather outside. We were offered a much better corner table on the upper level but reserved for 7pm to others. My 2 other guests arrived and we indulged in aperitif, starters and main course with wine: beers, Lemon Drop cocktails, oysters, tuna, crab cakes, lobster bisque, Tower for four and Volcanic Mills Pinot Grigio. Our server Lucy with a cute Ukrainian accent was very attentive and professional. Everyone left very satisfied and will return!
The service here is excellent. Very quick and there is always someone there to get you anything you need. The lobster bisque soup is simply AMAZING. The ambiance is relaxed fine dining, which is the perfect vibe for a date or even with some close friends. The food is very good and for the price it is a solid value.
Excellent restaurant, love this place . the food and the service was amazing ...will be back for sure ....
Had food poisoning from their happy hour oysters. Threw up massively and had diarrhea the next day. Upon reviewing the pictures I took and google, these oysters looked abnormally dark. Most likely these oysters may have gone bad or were not cleaned well. Service and rest of the food were excellent but unfortunately my experience has already been ruined here.
Came here with the intention of trying their dine out Vancouver 2022 menu but their a la carte menu captured our interest. The price is also very economical for a seafood restaurant. Scallops on the risotto was perfectly cooked and the amount of lobster meat on the lobster Mac and cheese was plentiful. The favourite of the night was the paella. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!
Came here for dine out Vancouver. Was not disappointed! Highly recommend reservations as the restaurant was very busy. The poached pear was to die for! The char was melt in your mouth buttery texture and cooked perfectly.
Great location, awesome staff, and amazing food. We tried a few different items from the menu... the lobster bisque was delicious, the Salmon Wellington- the best!
