The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 9:00 pm very hungry and were told we could only order from the happy hour menu, during the last hour of being open. The posted close time was 11:00 pm but they decided to close early as they weren’t busy. She was so nice and gave us the dinner menu. We had chicken mango chimichangas. So delicious; tender chicken and amazing sauce. Highly recommend!

This IS the fancy Mexican restaurant I’ve been searching for. The cocktails were amazing as was the Mexican Paella. Absolutely loved that they had a kids menu for our little one. Service was fantastic and the premise is beautifully finished and decorated. Can’t wait to return to try more dishes. Thank you!!!
Great location and nice patio. Chips are good. Fajitas could use flour instead of corn tortillas.
I never have high hopes for Mexican joints this side of the border. I've eaten a lot of tasteless Mexican food in Canada. I'm very happy to have found a gem at Cantina Norte! I tried the Chili Relleno. The Chili was the perfect amount of spice. The cheese filling was so good. The sauce was so flavourful. The rice and beans on the side were some of the best I've ever eaten anywhere. The prickly pear margarita was delightful. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Our waitress even brought us more dehydrated oranges to munch on. 10/10. Well done.
Ordered through skip. Took two hours for our food to arrive. Food was over priced and mediocre which I could live with but not receiving food at 9 pm when ordering at 7. Definitely not worth the wait or the price
Average food, decent drinks, .exceptional service - oddly that's what stuck on my head. Loved the people who worked there. Not only our server, but everyone was so great. It seemed the whole service team enjoyed working there and it showed in all of their interactions. Did not meet the manager, but obviously doing a great job leading an awesome group of people.
Have been here several times and love it. Recently went for lunch for my birthday and had a fantastic meal with equally as good service. Unbeknownst to us, our server was one of the owners. We found out near the end of our meal. Such a delightful lady with a fun sense of humor- she even sang Happy Birthday in Spanish keeping in line with our table mood. I've recommended this restaurant to everyone I know. I've tried almost everything on the menu and I have no complaints about anything. Great ambiance and when outdoor season is here a fantastic patio that's not cut off from either the restaurant or the street. 100% thumbs up.
Came here for dine out Vancouver. Amazing Mexican food. I was a little disappointed in the ceviche, it tasted bland and the celery overpowered the dish. The chile relleno del dia is to die for... will definitely be coming back just for that!
